Last roll of the dice for FdB, Fischer on for Cerny
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!

Wow, look at them all standing about...!
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
YOu are surprised? This team hasn't had a clue all year.Tom_ schreef:Wow, look at them all standing about...!

Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Why on earth has Milik been taken off ,El Ghazi hasnt touched the ball
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Wow I'm actually speechless at the ineptitude.
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
apart from that 1st half v Zwolle we have struggled for weeks.
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
This really sums up Frank de Boer's Ajax doesn't it?
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
FdB is just crazy to play van der Hoorn up top for so long. He's too slow and has no ball skills at all. He is useful on set pieces and that's it. This is so frustrating.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Need a 1-0 against the side which is 2nd from bottom. And we're struggling in the 87th minute. We don't deserve this title.
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
5 more minutes and FDB can resign ,hopeless performance today
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Nice save by Cillessen.

This is horrible....
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Embarrassing
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
terrible performance, blown it FDB sorry resign and lets have someone who can get us playing Ajax style. We did not deserve to win the title over our last few performances.
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
De Boer - please resign. We need to put a stop to this. This is unbelievable.
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
But for that dreadful mistake by the ref v Utrecht a win today would not have been enough.
Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
That wrong offside call on Younes was the decider of the title.
I am refusing to watch any more Ajax games while De Boer is still the coach. I can't stand any more of this.

Frank, go fuck yourself. God i hope this is the last game for you. What a pathetic bunch of fucking loosers this team has been this year. We deserved nothing this year, and we got what we deserved.

Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Had a bad feeling before the game even began. This is not a team with the grit to bear down and win the games that need to be won. When we missed all those chances, my feeling got worse -- it was like waiting at the dentist's for a root canal -- hoping that maybe the appointment would be cancelled. There was a feeling of inevitability when they scored that goal, and once that happened you knew it was over. This is not a team with the determination to come from behind to snatch a victory -- not in the big games, at least. Even coming into the game, my feeling was that PSV actually deserved it more for the way they played down the stretch. I hope we don't see FdB next year, but I'm afraid we will, and I'm afraid it will be more of the same.

Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Did have chances to kill the game and make it 0-2 and some half chances in the second too. Didn't have the luck we would have needed inside the box. I guess the thing is you shouldn't need luck against De Graafschap. You just should be able to win plain and simple.

Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
Had Younes offside been given we would not have scored the other as it came from the free kick.
We have since Christmas drawn 5 games and PSV have drawn 1 and lost to us,winning the other 15. Overall we did not deserve to win the title although today we were piss poor.

Re: 08 MAY 2016 De Graafschap - Ajax Match Day 34
A meltdown of epic proportions led by a manager who other than a couple of matches never had his team tactically prepared for matches. We cannot complain about points dropped in earlier matches because today everything was on the table and there was an across the board failure. I'm sure that FdB will cast blame at everyone but himself but if he was honorable he would submit his resignation tomorrow morning and move on. He's never going to do this team justice going forward. Other than the one goal, they really never threatened to score. Lots of players wanted to be a hero taking wild shots that never came close to the frame.
I don't know which of the midfielders was at fault for not tracking the Graafschap runner who scored the goal, either Serero or Gudelj should have marked him but it was a cool and clinical finish. Graafschap did all they had to do defending to secure the tie. Why oh why was van der Hoorn up front for the last 20 minutes. He was totally out of gas and can't handle the ball as an attacker should. Maybe for the last five minutes in desperation but not longer than that.
Player Ratings (and manager):
FdB (0) - needed to have the team ready to play and score some goals; total failure
Cillessen (5) - one really nice save at the end but lost his head when he had a player behind him and tried rolling the ball to Gudlej only to have it deflected; kicking mediocre at best
Dijks (5) - had a couple of crosses that were decent never had to worry about defending and then off because of an injury
Viergever (5) - defended OK
van der Hoorn (5) - defended OK and totally out of place up front for the last 20 minutes
Veltman (5) - OK but not enough pace to play RB when someone needed to rampage forward to deliver a cross
Mr. Irreplaceable (4) - most of his free kicks were poor and had some wild shots on goal when a pass would have been better
Serero (4) - no impact on the match at all and the €6M man might have done better today
el Capitan (3.5) - absolutely awful game other than he probably ran more than any other Ajax player
Younes (5) - nice goal but then he wanted to be a hero and try to score rather than pass
Milik (4) - had a couple of half chances and one right at the keeper
Cerny (4) - not good enough today
Riedewald (?) - did he even touch the ball? I can't remember his name being called but I guess I'll give him a 5 for being on the pitch
el Ghazi (5) - nothing good or bad about his play coming on in the middle and I think having van der Hoorn up front interferred with what he might have been able to do
Fischer (4) - looks like he has lost speed as he couldn't even beat the Graafschap LB 1 v 1
Would have, could have, should have - the team laid a big egg today. Here's hoping we have a new manager next season as we now have to go through the CL qualification rounds and we know how that has turned out under FdB.

Honestly there were so many stupid dropped points this season it's hard to know which one(s) to blame in the end. But the thing that really hurts is our playing style over the last 3.5 seasons. Cowardly, unimaginative and boring.
Still, maybe this will encourage de Boer to move on and things will get better next season.
