Lucky pen again changed things but a fine 2nd for Milik.After that we just contained but Dijks will now miss Twente.

GD now plus 6 ,win our last 2 games by 2 clear goals should be enough

Somehow managed to win that game.

The tie-breaker after goal difference in the Eredivisie is total goals scored. PSV are ahead by 3 goals in that category right now. So, our goal difference lead over PSV is 5 goals for now.

Ajax really wanted to take the last free kick but were denied by the official's whistle for full time. I'll eat half my words, Serero had a mighty fine match tonight but Schöne continues to show that he can no longer start. A very poor first half was followed by a better second half and Milik came alive to play like a real center forward. Enough of the long balls over the top; they are NOT working. GD is back up to 6 now and both Ajax and PSV have the weekend off as neither are in the Dutch Cup final.

Player Ratings:

Cillessen (6) - troubled by only one shot that might have been going wide and I'm sure he wasn't pleased with the number of poor back passes that were directed wide of his position
Dijks (6) - defensively in trouble during the match but a wonderful cross to a darting Milik for the second goal
Viergever (7.5) - excellent defensively and had a nice run with the ball up the pitch in the first half
van der Hoorn (7.5) - won almost every ball that he could and positionally didn't make a single mistake
Veltman (7) - decent enough save a couple of poor passes
Mr. Irreplaceable (7) - pretty decent match both ways
Serero (7) - well played and even drew some fouls as is his custom
Klaassen (4) - poor in every regard
Younes (5) - some tricks work, some didn't; works out for a very average match
Milik (6) - saved by a better second half following a forgettable first
Schöne (3.5) - whatever was FdB thinking; team needed to score and Schöne was not the man
el Ghazi (5) - one or two touches was all but did track back on defense
Fischer (5.5) - two nice runs with the ball coming on late
Sinkgraven (NR) - had a touch or two but nothing to warrant a rating coming on so late in the match

Serero had a decent game but worst player imo was ElGhazi,Schone was poor but El Ghazi was invisible.May as well have had Cerny playing ,do we need 2 Rb's on the bench ,we have had just 1 defender as sub for about 10 games.

Riedewald plays for Jong Ajax on Friday so hopefully can play LB v Twente.
Keep reading we are looking for another striker but Milik is clinical with pens and his finishing for the 2 nd was superb.

One of those ones that can go either way. I'd say anywhere else on the pitch you would want the ref to whistle for hand ball, so penalty was fair enough.

The guy was standing 2 paces from Dijks , not sure he could avoid the hand ball.Both Sky commentators said it was no pen. We are getting some luck.

Agree Klaassen had a poor game ,only rating I disagree is El Ghazi ,was he on the pitch .Sorry he was rubbish.

It was 50/50 for me. It was a 100% unintentional handball, but it did completely change the trajectory of the ball. There were two Ajax players ready to pounce on the cross, but it struck the defenders arm (in the box) and went out of play.

Fair enough but when he came on everything went down the left side. He didn't do anything terrible, unlike Schöne who had some awful touches.
