20 APR 2016 Heerenveen - Ajax Match Day 32

Wednesday evening away match to Heerenveen who have been wildly inconsistent this season. Nothing more than three points are required and Ajax will know ahead of time where PSV stands as they play Vitesse on Tuesday. Goal difference may play a role in the outcome of things this season just as in the 2006-07 season when PSV edged out Ajax by one goal on the final match day.

Fischer in in the selection and Cerny is out for tomorrow's match.

EDIT: PSV get a gift on a very weak penalty call when Lestienne seemed to trip over the defenders feet and it looked to me that it was not a take down. 2-0 is the final score so the GD is down to 4 now. This was the toughest match remaining on PSV's schedule so Ajax are really going to have to go out and score goals, something that they have not been able to do much of. I'm getting a sinking feeling about the end of this season.

The pressure is on big time. Hope our young guys can handle it. Heerenveen still has a some chance to make it to Europa league playoffs so they have something to play for and of course the Frieslanders want to win the team from the capital. This could get tricky, but anything but a win won't do. And yes the more goals the better, though I would be pretty happy with just a win from this one. I think it might be easier to try to trash Twente at home or De Graafschap away rather then taking unnecessary risks at this one.

Yep, obviously a big one, very interested in seeing the line-up. Sounds as if a couple players are out of form and or just tired. But it is a must win and need to take care of business.

Well Bazoer is out of form but Serero has played little in recent weeks,why not play Sinkgraven at least he is a creative MF.

I too have a bad feeling about the title and dont see us scoring many goals.We are only in the driving seat at the moment because of the ref making a mistake with the penalty on Sunday.

I think Sinkgraven is on the outs with FdB if this is true. FdB had some bad words for him following the Jong Ajax match a week ago and it looks like Sinkgraven is this year's Kishna. Serero is really not very good except that he goes over easy with contact and draws lots of fouls. Perhaps this is FdB's thinking, draw lots of fouls and let Gudelj wear out his right leg taking free kicks. I hope I end up eating my words but if Serero goes on the pitch tonight this club really does not deserve the championship!

Serero never puts anything less than 99,87999999% in every challenge for the ball while Bazoer sometimes seems like he's thinking he can play games on 40% or at some moments with even less than 20% effort.

Serero is not one of the best football players in the world, but he did never let us down. He also played some really good games, mostly against the bigger opponents like PSV Eindhoven or this one against Barcelona:

Frank de Boer is suffering some brain damage but I can accept choosing Schöne over El Ghazi. Anwar El Ghazi is a faster player and holds the wing side (a bit) more than Schöne, but in many games his efficiency is less than zero.

Schöne has less speed but when he has a good day he is involved by a very big amount of scoring opportunities.

What a terrible half of football. Milik was offsides more than I can count. Every ball over the top was a failure. Every midfielder is too slow making decisions. This is a championship team? I think not? This is a championship manager? FdB's failure of nerve to put out the right players is just appalling. I hope he ends up at Everton next season.
