This is a joke as we need another striker who hopefully will help win the title which will mean big money in the CL group stages.

Of course we all know Overmars is to blame for his lack of signing a striker in the summer. He had all summer to find one and came up with a joke of a player who should be playing basketball.

Silly rumor for the summer Steven Pienaar to return on a free.He will be 34 in March but has just returned to Everton team after a long injury.Think the rumor started when Pienaar said he would return to Amsterdam to live when playing is over. He loves the city ,partner is an Amsterdamer and he has house there.

No way would we want him as a player we have loads of midfielders and widemen.

Sanogo earns 40,000 euros per week at Arsenal ,we are paying over half of it.More fool us . Chelsea will let us have Traore on loan if we pay his wage in full . 52,000 euros per week ie £40,000 A joke , hope we tell Chelski where to go.

Mind Huntelaar is wanted by all the fans ,even FDB himself, but he earns 5m euros pa at Schalke !

I mentioned early that we may have got AZ's striker Janssen from Almere back in the summer, as a backup of course. I did not know he came from the Fword academy so apologies , no way would we want him .

I sit next to a Blackburn season ticket holder, and he reckons when he was at Blackburn he was a decent talent. Not sure we need another midfielder though?

I did see a comment about Cairney , I assumed it was a joke.Klaassen Bazoer Gudelj,Sinkgraven Serero v dBeek for 3 spots and Nouri and de Jong will be in the mix next season,(if not this season if they keep playing like they did against NAC).

I would take Ziyech of Twente we need someone to create goals .Maybe Milik would then score some ,as he does nothing else.

I do read that most fans want Huntelaar but how many goals would he score with our uncreative current side!

I'm one of them. I'd love him back. I personally think he would score no matter what. He creates his own chances, and is there for every single loose ball.

In the US we have a internet football channel that carries a bunch of leagues including the Eredivisie. I can watch all the matches and see the replays as well. I've been watching several other Dutch clubs and it's apparent that our midfield is the WORST of any in the league. I don't mean this in terms of individual talent but rather the way they are tactically employed. It is really appalling to watch the Ajax midfield play these days; I'm not sure that I have ever seen such poor play before.

I too think Huntelaar would score goals even with this uncreative team and he would be my No 1 choice to get back.He is still in a different class to Milik.

As for our midfield I also go along with Orange ,watching our midfield is dreadful.I am 100% convinced Nouri and Cerny playing at this level would make an impact.

Agreed. Our MF is talented enough but the ultra conservative tactics are holding us back. We have good passers in MF; should be looking to move the ball quickly to the front line.

FDB now says we need to sell or rent a player before we get anyone in.Doubt we will get anyone . I would recall Zivkovic from Willem, put him on our bench and see what he can do.He cannot do worse than Milik.

Of course we would have some money to spend but we are paying Heits and Sanogo about 1m euros each. Neither are match fit or ever will be .

Just gone through the Dutch sites nil rumours of any new player so far.Dont see a new striker arriving .There was talk yesterday that Babel could come on short loan .I wouldn't object but lets see.

Just confirmed Zivkovic's loan at Willem is cancelled and he is back with us.No mention he will go elsewhere.

May as well have stayed with us and saved us wasting money on Sanogo.

Not getting a striker sums up the woeful Overmars. All last summer he looked and ended up taking a guy who has only scored goals in French Div 2.Now this last month he finds no one and has to recall a kid who could not get into Willem's starting lineup.Mind without any creative midfielders any striker will struggle.

Talk of us getting Haller the Utrecht french striker for 8m but this afternoon big news Huntelaar has a clause in his contract (runs to 2017) whereby he can sign for us this summer for free .

If Milik has a good Euros this summer I see him leaving but 2 years of KJH would be great.He is struggling for goals with Schalke this season but given decent service he will score goals for us.

I saw a report on Ajax Showtime that we are picking up two youth players Pascal Struijk from ADO and Boy Kemper at FC Volendam. Both are central defenders I believe, but don't know much more than that.

Yes that was the football news of the day. Huntelaar earns about 7 million euros a year at Schalke, he is aware of the wages Ajax is paying at max at these days but when he extended his contract at Schalke until 2017 he did insist on an agreement that he could leave to Ajax for 0 euros in the summer of 2016. Schalke agreed on that. In Dutch we would say "that it speaks for Huntelaar" that he considers to return as an Ajacied.

Since we're not the european power house that we used to be, we can't attract world class players and can't afford them either. So, luring back old stars of ours is pretty much the only chance to sign players the have established themselves as real quality players. Even though he might be a little past his prime, I really can't see us getting anyone better than KJH at the transfer market. In fact, I don't think we would come even close. Huntelaar would be a great signing I'm sure. At 32 I still think he would score a truck loads of goals for us.

Signing younger talents can get us a hidden gem sometimes, but for a change, it would be nice to sign a player that we know will fit to our system. We would know exactly what we're getting with KJH. A true nro. 9 with versatile scoring skills and great instinct. We could use the experience as well. God, I wish will get him back. And a free transfer as well. There's no way we could lose with this move.

100% agree would love to see him back.My favourite ex Ajax still playing.Guess the fact he lives with his wife in the village where they were bought up (near Arnhem) and his Dad drives him to training everyday makes him a bit different from the scum bags playing in England.
