04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
First of the matches against the other members of the 'Big 3.' PSV lost to CSKA Moscow in CL tonight and were atrocious on defense (though with our anemic attack that may be good enough). The Eindhoveners will likely be without de Jong, Willems, and Guardado.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Milik dropped to the bench; front three of el Ghazi, Fischer, Younes.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
morning all,I'm on sky live again, just turned on to see Fword won 2-1.A must win game for us
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Finally a match played at a time that is reasonable for me to watch. Pleasantly surprised to see that Younes will get a start -- hope he does well.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Dreadful defending ,3 of them got in the way of each other
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Can't believe the way the gave away that goal -- no excuse for it.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Younes!!!! What a goal!

Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Younes with a beauty
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Phwoar we could be down to 10 and trailing 1–0, instead it's 1–1. Thanks ref...
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Lucky to be level at the half. Riedewald having a very poor game, at fault on the goal and almost cost the team another with the give away when he went forward. Tete coming up big again. Tactics are all cocked up with Klaassen pressing up with Fischer resulting in not enough pressure on the PSV midfield when they get the ball across the halfway line. FdB better correct this or this game is lost. Team is too slow in moving the ball around but that's nothing new.

Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
We have been on the back foot a lot and PSV look more likely to score. We are playing a 4-4-2 with Klaassen and Fischer
as a front 2 but its not working. Riedewald nearly gave away a 2nd but Veltman saved the day when Cillessen came out.

Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Aside from the goal by Younes, the first half was a total disaster. Total surrender of the midfield; no guile on the attack; counterattacks made at a walking pace; slow, slow passes that PSV has no problem picking off; no anticipation as to the direction of play. Lucky not to be losing by two goals.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Tete playing superb but Riedewald very poor. He was the defender who failed to clear for their goal and nearly gave away a 2nd . He is not ready for International football at the moment.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Time for el Ghazi to spend a game or two on the bench I reckon. Is Schöne our backup for RW?
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Liverpool and Everton are interested in El Ghazi, not sure they will be impressed. This looks bad ,I will be happy for a draw
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
2-1 thats it they are the better side.Riedewald caught again!
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Serves us right -- bankrupt strategy; third rate tactics; lose 90% of the loose ball fights; can't make an accurate pass. DeBoer hasn't evolved with the times -- time for a change.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
PSV were the better team and deserved to win.We were rubbish. We have a young and inexperienced side ,think we could even finish 3rd at the end .
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Ouch. PSV clearly stronger despite missing 2 of their starters and we were lucky to be in the game for 70 mins. Could have been much worse.
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
I thought our midfield was the weakest link today. Bazoer was ok Klaassen poor ,Gudelj did he play !, Serero not much better.
If the english press think El Ghazi is worth 16 m euros what is Perera worth ! Younes ok in the first half with a fine goal ,Fischer one shot and that was it. Defence not good enough against the experienced sides.Ok against Willem and Excelsior but we have struggled in Europe and this our first test in the league we were found wanting.
de Boer and co have kept 100 m in the bank gone for youth and its not good enough.Frank Rijkaard in the crowd he should take over as coach and let de Boer go off to Liverpool ,Newcastle or Sunderland

I fell asleep before the game started and almost missed the first half.
Too bad I woke up...
Too bad I woke up...
May the Force be with you
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
A match that wants to make all Ajax supporter bury their heads in shame; a well deserved thrashing by PSV 1-2 that rightfully should have been much worse. Out played and out managed, a total travesty that deserves few other words.
Manager Rating:
FdB (1) - picked out a nice outfit to wear on the sidelines for the television cameras and that was the highlight of the match. What was he ever thinking in putting Klaassen up top with Fischer and conceding the entire midfield to PSV? This is it for me, he deserves no further respect as a manager!
Player Ratings:
Cillessen (5.5) - didn't have to make a really difficult save and was not at fault on the goals but his kicking was highly reminiscent of Kenneth Vermeer
Dijks (5) - decent enough but where was he on the second PSV goal; Riedewald left alone on two men
Riedewald (3) - go to sleep tonight and forget about this one; stuff happens; wake up with a clear mind and better intent tomorrow
Veltman (5) - manhandled at times by Locaidia but pretty much did enough on his side of the defense
Tete (7) - only player who decided to show up and do his job
Gudelj (3.5) - woeful effort, always too far away from his man
Bazoer (4.5) - best of a poor midfield, conceded several dumb free kicks
Klaassen (3.5) - absolutely zero impact on the match; wishing we still had Siem de Jong (a dangerous thought)
Younes (5) - nice goal and that was it, nothing else from him the rest of the way
Fischer (4.5) - hit the post on a nice move but the manager's tactics left him high and dry the rest of the way
el Ghazi (4) - one nice cut to the middle but that was it
Serero (5) - odd substitution, but he did what he customarily does, drew a couple of fouls
Milik (4) - did nothing right or wrong as he seldom had the ball
Schöne (NR) - on very late for el Ghazi and that was it
That's a wrap for this one. Time to move on.

Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
I should have added that I did not think Bas Nijhuis called a very good game. Missed giving cards when they were deserved and handed out cards for niggling fouls. Fortunately, his officiating had no impact on the match.

Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Your ratings mirror my thoughts Tete clearly our best player Bazoer the best of a non exisitant Mf
Re: 04 OCT 2015 Ajax - PSV Match Day 8
Liverpool just sacked Rogers , please take Frank and Overmars as well. Our tactics today were rubbish and the coach has to take responsibility.
There is a lot of talent and I think we can keep Klaassen ,Fischer and El Ghazi for another season if we are in the Cl next season but my gut feeling is things could get worse. We have coming up Fword in league and cup Fennebache home and away and some of the kids should not be playing twice a week. Riedewald is struggling a bit and Bazoer too will be burnt out if we keep playing him every game. Fischer and El Ghazi are in EPL sights , well they are not ready for that level.
I am happy we have gone back to youth but what a cock up with that not giving 16 year olds contracts. Peeters travelled with Real this week, just for experience and Maylan trained with Arsenal firsts (Raiola his agent said this week he would have stayed but we did not offer a contract and by the time Overmars woke up Arsenal had made their offer. The kid did not feel Ajax wanted him so he left)
As for our signings well Gudelj is no gain ,Sanogo should be put on the first plane in the morning back to Arsenal and Heitinga is too slow ,what on earth is he here for!! Sinkgraven is a talent but did we need to buy him when v d Beek and Nouri in the pipeline. We have some good kids but we need experience.
Last whinge ,with all these kids playing what becomes of our standbys as all wont want to stay. V d Hoorn says he may go in January ,V Rhijn is not as good as Tete and will go and Serero and Schone along with Heits Sanogo will be gone next season.
The JC policy has been good in places but we have 100m in the bank and could finish 3rd this season as not only PSV are not much weaker without Memphis or Wijnaldum but Fword are strong at present.
Frank has done a great job with 4 titles but we are going backwards and I would like Rijkaard to come back and take over.
