I love our kids, but there might be too much of them out there. No Poulsen, no Moisander. We really lack experience. I wonder would it have been wise to put Heitinga in the line up. Riedewald hardly played last season. A pretty difficult game to start for such a rookie.

0-2 because of two very poor defensive plays. First one, Bazoer makes an ill-advised pass to Sinkgraven who fails to clear. then the Vienna player makes it to the end line past Tete (I think) for a deep cross and their striker gets a free header on goal. I think he was Riedewald's man to cover.

Second goal, players just watched as the player cuts right across and gets a somewhat weak shot off but unfortunately it goes off Veltman and bingo this tie is in real trouble.

I too love our kids but not this many in a team.An experienced defender or 2 is needed.

Damn. I guess we're done, we know we don't make chances against defensive teams so I'd say a third Wien goal on the counter is more likely than us scoring at this stage.

Pretty frustrating, you can see we're better at football but they are bigger, stronger and faster. We weren't going to do well in the CL with this lineup anyway.

I'm watching the Austrian TV feed and they just showed the first goal replay. el Ghazi didn't track the runner back well enough and then Riedewald was lost in the woods and didn't see the striker at all. Just horrible starting from the poor clear. BTW, I don't think we have even on shot that the keeper has had to make a save.

two goal in 45 minutes isn't impossible. let's hope we really come out flying to the second half. Maybe even with two strikers? If we're going to throw aimless crosses (what is what we usually do in a situation like this) it would be useful to have as much players as possible inside the box.
