Just catching up on here after watching the whole game which finished 2-2.Ajax played extremely well for 62 mins ie until Leyder was red carded.Both English commentators on Eurosport thought both his yellows were harsh. After that our game sort of fell apart as we struggled to contain them with only 10 men.

Trouble is in those last 30 mins 3 of our 4 best players were subbed ie Muric and Cerny the wingers and V d Beek in MF. He looks like Klaassen's younger brother had a great game until the sending off but then had to play the deeper DM role. Nouri who has so much skill also fell away at the end .These being our 4 star players.

First time I have seen Muric, left footed but played on the right and he looks good but Cerny, who is just 17 and a year younger looked the better prospect.These 4 look good enough to progress to our first team squad in time and I will stick my neck out and say V d Beek will debut before the season is out.

Cannot say I was impressed with the back 4 or Leyder at DM.Mind the first choice DM El Mahdioui dropped out last minute with an injury.(Mind Riedewald, Bazoer and Owusu are all playing regularly in Jong Ajax and are only 18 so could have played and would have improved our defence dramatically.)

Great experience for our kids and with 11 for 90 mins would certainly have beaten a very ordinary Barca team.Both teams are level on 5 points in the group with Ajax having the better GD top.

Just finished watching a delayed telecast of the game. Agree with your assessment. The yellow probably was harsh, but imo Leyder deserved it for being so stupid as to make that kind of a tackle when he already was on a yellow. Can't believe that a professional player, even a young one, can't figure it out.

One point the announcers made while praising the quality of the Ajax players was that the senior team might not even enjoy the benefits of having produced them, as the big money teams would pick them off early. Sad, but true.

The big clubs will just pick off the 16 year old kids we don't contract and not from this team.Of yesterdays starters only El Idrissi ,both fullbacks and goalie are not contracted they are 17 and 18.

The 4 stars Cerny,Nouri, V d Beek are signed to 2017 and Muric 2018. All 4 turned down big clubs to sign for us. Local lads Nouri and V d Beek didn't sign until they were 17 and had big clubs trying to sign them.

Benji you are our youth expert, do you see V d Beek breaking into the first team squad this season.?

Saying the big clubs will pick off our 16 year olds because,unlike every other club in Europe, we dont contract them, well the Dutch U16's are playing a tournament in France at present and there are 7 x15 year olds playing from Ajax .All of them already playing for our B1 U17 team.

Defenders Bakboord, Hoogenhout, de Ligt,midfielder Lang and forwards Nunnely,Malen and Kluivert (son of).

I can see Man City Man U and Chelsea scouts all sitting in the sun deciding who they are going to offer their cheque books to.I quess Kluivert wont take the money because his parents are poor!!

I make no apologies if this is sarcastic ,but just because one greedy kid Ouasim Bouy walks out at 19, we now basically tell the world come and take our 16 year olds!

Hopefully most will say no to the English £ or roubles in Chelsea's case. Dear old Lartey Sanniez plays regularly at RB for our A1 and is in the Dutch U19 but at 18 still has no contract .

The big clubs have always just got kids aged 16 from Holland who were not under contract.The only player who left aged 18 when still in the youths was Bouy and Raiola is his agent.Juve just paid us a training fee. Feyenoord have lost the most kids over the last few years but all went aged 16.Castaignos was aged 19 when Inter signed him but by then her had extended his initial contract so Feyenoord did get a transfer fee.

We have Nouri contracted age 17 for 3 years.The only way a big team would come in and buy him would be if he was already in the first team. If next summer he is still in our youths I would doubt anyone would come in for him and equally I doubt he would leave.He did not leave in 2013 aged 16 and in 2014 aged 17 signed a contract.

I would still contract kids aged 16 .It may be some will still say no and take the English £. After all Rekik Bruma Ake Kongolo all left Fword aged 16 and I am sure Fword would have offered them contracts.

Just hope the majority of these 15 years old we have will stay next summer.

Do UK clubs really go after teenagers actively? I guess most 'big' clubs know that being a star at 16 doesn't guarantee making it as a pro so they're happy to let the 'feeder' clubs take care of training and buy when the kids are in their early 20s. Ajax knows this too so I suppose they have to weigh up who they give contracts to. Note that I have no idea what I'm talking about and this is all speculation!

I saw Bouy playing for Panathinaikos the other day. Nothing serious. I think he played once as a left winger type and once as a midfielder. He probably never fullfilled his potential...

In The CL u19 we beat Barca 1-0 tonight,with Cerny the scorer.It was not on tv which is a shame.

De Toekomst was packed. Never seen it so crowded before. Hard to count all the spectators but I'm estimating that 3.500 people came to watch this.

Leon Bailey and Kyle Butler, the two Jamaicans rumoured to go to Ajax for about 2 years now, have signed a professional contract at AS Trencin (Ajax affiliate in Slovakia). Might be joining Ajax in Amsterdam next summer.

Just reading that Man u want one of our 14 year olds Juan Familia-Castillo he is an attacking MF in our C1 U15's .Its one thing losing them at 16 but this is just child trafficking.OK I note he is 15 in January but we cannot start losing kids at this age . Again I read his family are not well off so they are clearly taking the money.

Mind we are trying to get the young 15 year old Norway kid Odegaard,but he is 16 next month and already plays first team footy and a full Int. and we would have to pay a transfer fee.

Thanks for the highlights Benji enjoyed the goals especially V d Beek's . Looking forward to these kids coming through but every time I watch the highlights Nouri's talent leaps out at me ,a real footballing brain ,really hope he makes it.
