Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Clearly UEFA need to set some rules about under-age transfers including compensation if the player came up through the youth system of the club he is leaving. I'm pretty sure that there was a transfer fee for Ericson but I don't know if there was one for Fischer and Andersen. I'm not sure that UEFA can set a salary limit for young players as that probably violates the EU work regulations and anti-trust laws. The bottom line is that a lot of young players think they are going to make it with these clubs they move to and the reality is that they don't.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Sigthorrsson possibly going to Queen's Park Rangers in EPL according to the transfer center on ESPN. Let's hope we at least make back the money we spent on him.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Just spotted QPR want Siggy.Hope we can sell him for about 5or 6m euros.
On the youth subject I think all 4 of our recent young Danes had youth contracts and we paid 500000 euros for them and I think 1m euros for Andersen. He signed a couple of weeks before his 18th and the other 3 were almost 17 when they signed. Dilrosun and Mensah are just 16 and have no contract so we just get about 200,000 training fee. Not sure what UEFA can do.If they fixed a max wage up to18 then these kids would just leave at 18.
Bottom line we have lost 2 x16 year old local talents but we are signing kids from OS of similar ages.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Sky Sports are reporting Sigthorrsson to QPR for €6.3M. Have not seen a club confirmation yet.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Which is of course £5m .We paid 5m euros for him and to get 6.3 for a guy with less than a year on his contract and injury prone is decent business.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
My daily paper states QPR are now talking with Siggy so sounds like he is off.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Nothing on Siggy but the biggest rumour concerns Daley . Barca to offer between 17m and 22m to replace Puyol!!!!
Dortmund and Man U also interested.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
i saw that SPL, although it said £17.5m that is HUGE!!!
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
What is really 'funny' about all these Barca reports about going after Blind is that they plan to use him as a center half, replacing Puyols. Maybe they don't know that he hasn't played that position since making the first team four years ago.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
true,
i would imagine the main lure for a club like barca is, hes young, can play around a few positions and is "fairly" comfortable on the ball.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Saw a blurb where Bojan has signed for Stoke (of all teams). Seems like a strange place for him to go to.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
The alternative would be Olympiacos. Bad league was a - but Champions League participation a +
May the Force be with you
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I think only one Spanish team, Deportivo, wanted him and he wasn't getting any interest anywhere else. I'm sure he also wants to keep making big money so England is a nice place to get paid well by playing bad football.rjf1 schreef:Saw a blurb where Bojan has signed for Stoke (of all teams). Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Lesley de Sa has been loaned out to Go Ahead Eagles for this season, El Ghazi promoted from Jong Ajax to the senior squad.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Phew, I'm getting confused now. Anyone want to predict what the starting 11 will look like on the first day of the season?
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
With Siggy and Sana to go and Fischer injured until 2015 we have only Schone Kishna El Ghazi Zivkovic and Milik as forwards. Muric the Croatian kid still has not been cleared to play and has not played since January so will probably
can be discounted for the first part of the season.
So thats one midfielder, 3 teenage kids and a 20 year old who has not scored much in one season in Germany! Doesn't look strong enough.
Papers say QPR and Ajax agreed a fee for Siggy last week but he cannot agree terms so looks like that deal could be dead.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax

Looks as though Daley is on his way...nice little earner after his hard work over the last two seasons. If he does go, good luck to him!!!

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
This seems like a bit of an 'Anita transfer' to me. He's had one pretty good season and would probably benefit from another with us or he might sink without a trace in England.
On the other hand he is probably at the peak of his monetary value after starting every game at the WC so I won't be surprised if the club takes the payout.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Kenneth Vermeer will be leaving Ajax?
I hope not. Playing against Benfica in Estadio da Luz he stops a penalty AGAIN !! Crazy Kenneth!

Agree with both. I think the club has to sell, but I hope he does better than Anita. It's such a shame, what happened to him.Tom_ schreef:This seems like a bit of an 'Anita transfer' to me. Actually, by the end of the season, Anita was starting regularly for Newcastle. I saw a few of their games (on TV), and he seemed to be doing pretty well.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax

What the hell's going on at QPR?
Harry Rednapp, “We agreed terms with the club but couldn’t quite agree terms with the player. We’ll have to wait and see with that one.”
If he's on top wages at Ajax, that's "just" £15,000 a wk.......QPR are PL so if they can't match it, or even give him 20K a wk, he's better staying at Ajax......although, if he didn't ask for a transfer, he's entitled to 5%....I wonder if that's the sticking point!!! That'd mean that Ajax "owe" him £250,000 as a "leaving present"

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Now seems from the Dutch sites that the Siggy deal is to go through.Ajax and QPR have nearly agreed. Ajax will look to sign an experienced striker when Siggy goes.
Hamburg fancy Moisander but haven't any money. 6.5 m euros seems the figure required. This is the first club actually mentioned as linked to Moisander.
