Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Joeri de Kamps has now officially joined NAC ,a small fee may have been paid as he still had 2 more years with us.
A lot of fringe players still need to be cleared out

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Danny Hoesen has been transfered to Groningen today ,no fee is known. Thought he should have had more chances with us but I think he will score goals for Groningen. All the best to him.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Sorry to see him go -- I think the club is making a mistake on this one. As you say, all the best.SPL schreef:Danny Hoesen has been transfered to Groningen today ,no fee is known. Thought he should have had more chances with us but I think he will score goals for Groningen. All the best to him.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
This could be a part of the Zivkovic deal.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Hoesen is a decent if flawed striker. His ball skills are much better than Sigthorrson's but he really was too slow in getting a shot off and did not have the needed power to consistently beat a keeper. the club has struggled to find or develop a striker since Huntelaar and Suarez left.
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Sven Nieuwpoort a right back ,loaned to Almere last season has been released and joined GA Eagles .
Youths being released don't usually get mentioned on this post but a 19 year old forward called Serhat Cakmak, who played regularly for the A2 youth team the last 2 seasons has joined Turkish club Trabzonspor . Good to luck to both of them.

I'm glad he's gone...ever since he came from Fulham, he has never seemed to get rid of that chip on his shoulder...did the PL cause this???

QPR fancy Siggy and today talk of Swansea making an offer Ajax want 9m euros!
Newcastle linked with Siem de Jong
Newcastle linked with Siem de Jong
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Could we offload them both NOW thank you!!! I really hope Siem becomes a better player in the future, cause he won't have the support he had here, with the kind of appearances he gave occasionally for Ajax.
May the Force be with you
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Mickey v d Hart our 19 year old 3rd choice goalie is joining Go Ahead Eagles on loan for the season and will be their No1.He is also extending his contract by a year to 2016.
With Vermeer also looking to go we will need to sign another No 2 for the season.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Blind has been doing very well and the World Cup is a big stage. Should Ajax sell if a big offer comes in? His market value may be at a all time high, just like anyone else who does well in the WC.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
A couple of youngsters who finished last season with Jong Ajax have gone. Djavan Anderson a defensive midfielder cum full back has joined AZ for 200,000 euros. He was still under contract to 2015.Meanwhile Branco v d Boomen whose contract has expired has joined FC Eindhoven ,both signed for 3 years. Good luck to them.
As for Daley Blind if we get abid about 15m euros, which the english press has quoted, and he wants to go then we will have to sell. Hope he does not go as we need him as a defensive midfielder. With Poulsen gone the only other
DM we have is Bazoer, still only 17,and Sporkslede who has lots of injuries.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Another Jong Ajax, whose contract has expired has left, Derwin Martina to RKC.Was a winger but played last season as a right back.Certainly the games I saw I did not rate his defending maybe he will go back to being a winger.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Ajax showtime which usually carries all the news as it happens so to speak has just reported Siem de Jong is leaving Austria and heading for Newcastle, so expect a move shortly.
On a much lower level the 16 year old youth winger Dilrosun has taken the money and joined Man City .

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Farewell to our Captain!! He helped us alot for 3 out of 4 titles. All the best luck! Hope he made the right choice

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Reports say 7.5m euros ie £ 6m which is a good amount considering he has one year left on his contract and was injured for most of last season. He was very good in helping us to the first 3 of those 4 titles .Playing as a striker he seemed better than as a midfielder.A decent club to go to and I wish him all the best.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I also wish him well but do you really think Newcastle is a "decent" club? Maybe if they got rid of Pardew but he has something like a 10 year contract or something stupid like that.SPL schreef:Reports say 7.5m euros ie £ 6m which is a good amount considering he has one year left on his contract and was injured for most of last season. Re: Players Leaving Ajax
agreed orange... i wouldnt consider newcastle a decent club. too much termoil and problems. anita has struggled there, and they look to be losing a few decent players. also luuk didnt do too well there.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Have to say I was trying to be positive.Newcastle are mid table which is the type of club for Siem to go to.He probably will disappear just like Anita but he will be paid well.
I do agree using the word "decent" is not the right one when Pardew the coach headbutted an opposition player. If Frank had done that we would have sacked him.And then theres Wonga their sponsers.Payday loan companies are legalised thiefs and crooks.
So yes guys you were quite right to pick me up .

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Overall he was a decent player for us and could have left us earlier, but stood by us for many years. I appreciate that and hope he does well, but the pace of the game and the physical side to it is different in the premier league. Not putting the Eredivisie down, but he will face a lot tougher defenders playing there. Really doubt he made the right choice in terms of football, but I'm sure the money is good.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax

Can Ajax afford to lose this talent so early????

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Mensah is evidently a better talent than Dilrosun so to Ian I would say no we should not be losing such talents.
These 2 are the best of the 1998 age group. From what I have read ,via Google translate, on Jong in the Dutch section above and Ajaxshowtime, which seems to cover everything to do with Ajax and youth, the 2 best youths are Nouri and a young forward called Che Nunnely. I see he will be in out B1 this season and is 16 early next year.
I have not seen him but if Ajax continue with this policy of not contracting kids until 17 then clearly we will lose more.I would imagine Man City will probably already be talking to this Nunnely.
We cannot compete with the Manchesters of this world, Dilrosun has signed a3 year contract and will earn approx 300,000 euros in those 3 years. Trouble is I believe there is a max wage in Holland of 20k euros for 16 year olds and 30k for 17 year olds. UEFA needs to impose such a wage cap on all leagues in Europe and then maybe kids wont move away until they are at least 18.
Finally we of course sign 16 year olds from abroad and give them 3 year contracts. Eriksen and the 3 Belgium defenders have made us nearly 50m euros and we have a16 year old Czech winger called Cerny rated better than Dilrosun.
I still think we should give contracts to the best local produced 16 year olds. Maybe Dilrosun and Mensah would still have left but if we had offered them contracts a few months ago maybe they would have stayed.
