Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV losing to RODA at the moment. the game is stopped, coz something terrible happened to psv goalie..
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I heard that he was seriously injured and hope he's OK. Match ended up with Roda winnng. Amazing that we pick up a point on both PSV and Twente despite our awful performance.Van basten schreef:PSV losing to RODA at the moment. the game is stopped, coz something terrible happened to psv goalie..

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
As things stand, the seventh placed team takes on the eighth placed team right now, and the winner goes top of the league.
Amazing....

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
And more amazing if it's a drawn match we are tied on points at the top of the table! Right now the top 12 teams are separated by five points. This is sure a fun league to watch!!!Manneken Pis schreef:As things stand, the seventh placed team takes on the eighth placed team right now, and the winner goes top of the league.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Vitesse just draw with Groningen
so after we lost 2 points against last team in Eredivisie, we went 2 positions up
Hilarious.

It's amazing that over half the league is within striking distance of first place this far into the season.Kowalczyk schreef:This was one bizarre weekend of Eredivisie football...

Despite how crappy we've played, if we have out standard second half surge, we may well win the whole thing again.

If we win it playing like the way we currently are, I can't say that I would take any satisfaction from it.aveslacker schreef:...Despite how crappy we've played, if we have out standard second half surge, we may well win the whole thing again.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I think it's going to take a lot of 1-0 victories to achieve that goal given the current roster of players. It will also help if we crash out of Europe by finishing 4th in our CL group.aveslacker schreef:

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I think that's pretty much sorted out. I think that's a pretty viable strategy for Ajax - qualify for the CL by winning the league and then get bounced out of Europe early so that the squad isn't too worn out the second half of the season.Orange14 schreef:I think it's going to take a lot of 1-0 victories to achieve that goal given the current roster of players. Roda again trouncing PSV. In Eindhoven no less....
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Just amazing how this league is going. PSV started pretty much their first team players as well. I think Cocu is probably wishing he was somewhere else these days.#14 schreef:Roda again trouncing PSV. In Eindhoven no less....

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
This not about an Eredivisie team, but an update on Amsterdam's second club: AFC.
They're in the Topklasse (level three) and having a very good season: they're tops after 12 games, five points clear.
Still a loooooong way to go, but wouldn't it be nice: a third Amsterdam team (after Ajax-1 and Young Ajax) in the professional divisions of Dutch football? Especially because AFC is a real club with a history (est. 1895), a great shirt and all that.
They're playing De Treffers at home on December 15, the current #1 vs #2. I'll definitely check that one out at their lovely little ground, Goed Genoeg.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I thought that none of the topklass teams wanted to go to the Jupiler League. Is that also true of AFC?Kowalczyk schreef:This not about an Eredivisie team, but an update on Amsterdam's second club: AFC.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
just tuned into the 13th stream to catch the Ajax match and saw the final 3 minutes of the PSV/Heerenveen match. Feel bad for Marco as Heerenveen were up 1-0 and just didn't get a good clearance. Jozefzoon ended up on the ball and chipped the keeper for the 1-1 draw.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
psv lost 2 points at home against heerenveen, who played with 10 men from 15 minute. psv saved a point, scoring at 90+. this psv team is a pathetic joke. and we lost to them 0-4

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
It's amazing, considering how meh we've been this season, that we're right there in the thick of things. Let's hope we make our usual second-half run and win our fourth title in a row.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
It's very surprising to me that the current leaders of the eredivisie (us, at least until this afternoon) are averaging less than two points per game. I'm too lazy to look it up but that seems especially low.

Good weekend continues..

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Chelsea 'B' Team (aka, Vitesse) up 2-0 against Go Ahead Eagles who are now down to 10 men. Looks like we will end the weekend in second place which is still amazing given the poor play so far this year.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
F-word - psv 1-1 at half time. A draw would be the best result for us i guess.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV are down 2–1 with Brouma sent off after two debatable penalties for Feyenoord (although Pellè missed one of them).
Vitesse not likely to have any problems with Cambuur, currently up 2–0, so we're going to finish the weekend in second again.
