Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I watched that game -- even before the sending offs, all Feyenoord was doing was playing long balls and long crosses into the box for Pelle and Immers -- talk about retarded football, I thought I was watching Stoke.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
NEC have already parted company with coach Alex Pastoor after only three matches (all lost).
I wonder if Koeman is sitting comfortably in Rotterdam?

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Feyenoord really miss Boetius on the left wing. They would be a far more dangerous club had he not gotten injured. I don't think Koeman will be fired.Manneken Pis schreef: I wonder if Koeman is sitting comfortably in Rotterdam?

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Does anyone have any live streams for PSV vs Milan today?
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
this is your best source: http://livetv.ru/en/ Lots of streams and I'm watching on SopCast. PSV are down 0-1; still cannot defend on the back line.Ayman schreef:Does anyone have any live streams for PSV vs Milan today?

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I guess 1–1 is not a disaster for them but it's hard to see them getting through in Milan. Apparently we will get an extra €7M-ish from TV revenue if we don't have to share it with PSV but that's irrelevant to me and as I've said before I prefer to see other Dutch teams do well in Europe (just think coefficient!).
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Fair result in the end given the level of play from both teams. Milan were clearly not match fit; this was their first competitive match of the season. PSV fullbacks are still quite poor defenders and Bruma is not quick enough to play central defense at the highest level (though he will do well in the Eredivisie). Depay had a poor game on the right wing; Maher had a couple of cracker shots but missed the easy one in the opening minutes of the match. It's going to be a tough rematch at the San Siro and it will take a bit of luck for PSV to advance.

They have more chance to win some games and do well in Europa League than in Champions League.Tom_ schreef: as I've said before I prefer to see other Dutch teams do well in Europe (just think coefficient!).

Forza Milan!

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Yes, fair result. Pretty good match from PSV Eindhoven by the way. This will not be a walk-over in San Siro next week. I see PSV having at least 30% chance to get through. Maybe even 40%.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
No way can PSV get past Milan at the San siro, especially with a defence like that, with Rekik who is good but inexperienced and Brumer who is slow to react in dangerous situations and relies on reading the game (which he often fails to), the pace of the attackers will trouble him. I predict 3-1 to AC Milan
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I predict 1-3 to PSV.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Probably another 1-1 draw with PSV winning on penalties.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Also a good possibility Orange14. That would look like the way PSV won their only Europe title, 0-0 in the final (also only draws in quarter final and semi final, Real Madrid is still pissed off...) with after less then a minute Ronald Koeman taking the first one.
Former Ajax players Wim Kieft and Gerald Vanenburg also seemed pretty cool.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
So Zwolle will be contender for the title?

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Congrats to Ronald Koeman for getting Feyenoord off the mark (albeit a little late).

Wow, our old friend Joeren Verhoeven was in the nets for Utrecht today and kept a clean sheet as they beat AZ 2-0; go figure!!!!

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV in trouble in Milan. PSV created a chance or two but they're down 2–0 (I don't think Milan have had more than 3 or 4 shots on goal, but that's how they play).
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV just did not have the quality needed to break down the Milan defense and showed that they still have not addressed the defensive liabilities in the back. Maybe Bruma and Rekik improve but their fullbacks are quite poor defensively.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
i know PSV are supposed to have money problems, but if you take a look at their players in and out, it appears they made more than they spent.. somewhere in the region of €25m profit (transfermarkt). not sure how reliable the data is, but looks about right.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
True. They've done well selling some players this summer.
