A very entertaining game...for the neutral, but not exactly an ideal teaching tool for budding defenders!!!

Too many silly mistakes!! Eriksen, brilliant for 75 minutes but then faded; good substitution bringing Sana on, more dynamic...still need to find that killer touch!!

I can go and have a beer on the beach now.....just wish I'd been celebrating getting 3 points!!

What a terrible display of football. Close to 70% possession but most of that was back passes to Moisander, Alderwiereld, and Vermeer. Midfield except for Eriksen was totally absent in the match. Poulsen was horrible. FdB takes of a winger for a 2nd striker when he should have withdrawn Sigthorrson who can't hold the ball up to save his life. Vermeer saves the points but wasn't well served by his defense as about 4-5 balls were shot right across the goal mouth but fortunately there was no Heerenveen player to put it in the net. A lot of the starting 11 need to seriously question their commitment after this display.

Player Ratings:

Vermeer (7) - made a couple of good saves and had to scramble out of his goal to head the ball away in the 91st minute
Boilesen (6) - generally good match but was beat when he picked up the Yellow card
Moisander (6) - good goal but he really should be the playmaker on this team
Alderwiereld (5.5) - go to Madrid or stay but if you stay play some football
van Rhijn (5.5) - really need to have him pressing forward more
Poulsen (4) - totally absent on the 3rd goal and slowed the match up too much
Schöne (4.5) - did nothing worth writing home about tonight deserved to be subbed off
Eriksen (6.5) - good goal and corner kicks; only field player who wanted to win this game
Fischer (5) - mediocre at best
Sigthorrson (5.5) - got a goal but was too poor on the ball, he's not the striker we need at this point in time
Bojan (6) - better play and shouldn't have come off at the end of the match; nice pass to Eriksen
Serero (5.5) - did he have any more than a handful of touches?
Sana (6) - quite active and maybe he will wake Fischer up
Hoesen (5) - average player for a below average team on this night

Unless this team figures out how to create midfield space they will see many more results just like this one.

In Alkmaar we squandered a lead, twice.

In Heerenveen we squandered a lead of 0-2.

This is not good.

And the worst thing: shit football and horrible defending.

It is as if the guys are still in the hype of last springs championship. They need to realise that there's a new season going on. Just because we have won the title three times in a row doesn't mean every team will just hand over the points. On the contrary, everyone is hoping for the glory of beating the big and proud team from the capital

I'm racking my brain to remember when was the last time Schöne had a great or even a good game. He seems to be mediocre at best. Poulsen really didn't look good yesterday. Kind of hoping to see more of Sana, Serero and Ligeon. Now that Boilesen seems to be fit to play 90 minutes, maybe Blind could try that holding midfielders position. Haven't seen the young Ajax games, but I'm wondering could Bazoer perhaps be another solution to midfield because something needs to be done.

If Eriksen is sold we will have problems as neither Serero nor Klassen are in his class . Bazoer isn't yet 17 and will be handled carefully although he couldn't have done worse than Poulsen last night who was dreadful. Of course Enoh is still with us!!!

I really wished I could have been in the dressing room yesterday at half time to hear how Frank did blow their minds with a furious speeche. For sure De Boer really was pissed off.

Why does no one records these things...? But back to the came, wow... this was poor football, the defending looked terrible. I hope it will be better soon!
