Only one that can be reached by a star ship using warp drive. ESPN looks to be wrong and I've seen some other reports of Boerrigter moving on pending a medical. I hope he passes fitness and can move on the Scotland.

it's derk to Celtic on a 3 year deal pending tomorrows medical. a bit surprising for me as I thought we'd still hold into him despite bojan's signing. wonder how much we'll get for him. 2-3 million?

Official media say we will get 3.5 million.

That is much, much more than we've paid for him (only 400.000 or something like that...) and also good money to contract an attacker with more skills and prospective for the first Ajax squad than Derk Boerrigter will be having for the season 2013/2014.

What really annoys me is how they can expect to pay so little. We should be looking at atleast 3million.

Three million would have been a good price but getting 2 million euros is also a good deal for Ajax if you consider that:

1. Ajax did pay a very low transfer fee to RKC Waalwijk for Derk Boerrigter.
2. He was not going to get a lot of playing time this season because of his weak performances last season, the injury trouble and the better players we have in our team.
3. Almost every player in the squad and member of the staff despites Derk Boerrigter (because of his attitude).
4. With 2 million euros Ajax will be able to invest in a player who is more talented.

I think you make a good point. Also he's 26 years old. His development is not likely to continue that much, but his back problems might get even worse. He would have been a nice player to keep on the roster, but I think this was a ok deal. We have good wingers like Fischer and Bojan and some decent back up guys like Sana and Andersen. And who knows, maybe someone from young Ajax can make the step up: Meleg (althogh, i guess he's more of a midfielder), Lazic, de Sa?

We will have Jong Ajax in the Jupiler League. If some of the Jupiler League opponents appear to be a little weak we will just play some (part) of the games with only 9 players on the pitch witouth telling them.

Christian Eriksen is no Garreth Bale! I think Spurs are angling for a couple of Madridistas in addition to the boatload of €s the will receive. If they get Modric back as part of this deal I can't see them paying extra for Eriksen. At any rate we'll know in a month what the Ajax lineup looks like for the rest of the season. Personally I think the only team that realistically will buy Eriksen is Liverpool but they have other uncertainties that they are dealing with right now and it may be that Alderwiereld head there if Agger leaves for Barca.

But if Spurs do sell Bale, I hope they do go in for Eriksen. We'll be able to get a lot more for him because a) they'll be flush with cash; and b) they'll be desperate.

Todays rumour from Sunday Mirror ,a red top who make up stories, Spurs bid 17m euros for Toby and Christian .Overmaars
has said no such bid has been made.

The story says 8m for Toby,which is a fair amount,but 9m for Christian.Would hope Ajax get between 13m and 15 m given his contract has only 10 months to run.

Spurs are looking to get 100m for Bale ,so we should hold out and get as much as possible . They do have lots of attacking midfielders though and if Eriksen did not think the German no 3 Leverkursen was big enough is the english no 5.

There's been a lot of rumours about Toby joining Spartak Moskva. Hoping it's not true, as he is a top player for a top league.
