Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Eriksen has evidently turned down Leverkusen and Zenit were also interested. Christian does not think Leverkusen are any bigger than us and he will only leave for one of the really big boys. I quess that rules out Roma who are rumoured to be interested but Liverpool are still being mentioned and what ever everyone thinks of them they are a big club with a great record in Europe and are being rebuilt. Barca are supposed to have him on their shadow list now that Thiago has left and Fabregas is interesting Man U .I hope he stays for another season but on the other hand if he is going to leave this summer lets just hope someone comes in soon and we do not see him leave on 1st sept.
Other players Castillion is to join Panathianaikos of Greece for 100,000 euros plus 50% of any future transfer fee.
Ajax want 800,000 euros for Koppers and both Twente and ADO say thats too much for them.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
So if we consider what the biggest clubs are that Eriksen might sign with and rule out those who have settled midfields. Germany: Bayern & Dortmund; both teams appear to have finished any transfer business for the summer and Eriksen has already dismissed Leverkusen. France: doubt he would go there since other than PSG the rest of the league are not as good as Ajax. Spain: Barca and Madrid are the only contenders and Madrid is set but Barca might be interested given the age of their midfielders and the large number of fixtures that they play; that being said they need more help on defense than in the midfield. England: Chelsea are pretty much set as is Man City. ManU might be of interest but it's hard to tell right now. Arsenal play the type of football that Eriksen excels in but haven't been a rumored team. Liverpool are an interested club with lots of history but poor in the past three seasons; it's not clear how much time Rodgers is being given to reshape the club and several players have already been sent packing.
IMO only Liverpool are a likely contender at this point and the real question is whether Eriksen wants to move to a club with as many uncertainties (and they will clearly suffer if Suarez leaves this summer). I think its 60/40 that he stays with Ajax this season.
800,000 for Koppers is a fair price given left backs are the hardest to find and he's played some decent matches with the senior side. Twente could afford it ADO probably not.
EDIT: Forgot the Italian clubs. Hard to see him going to any of them since the level of play has deteriorated over the last five years. Juventus are the only one that seems to be stable these days and not sure that would be a good fit for him. Napoli has lost Cavani and I don't think Benitez is a good manager at all. Milan are a big question mark in terms of their ambitions.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Eriksen needs to be realistic. Its World cup season for everyone. Its a HUGE gamble if he leaves for the likes of Barcelona or even Liverpool for that matter. Big money yes, Geat history, but he is still only 21/22? He should stay for one more year. Alderweireld must be sold, since Ajax must sign another midfielder (hopefully Johnny Heitinga). Im pleased that Siem de Jong is going to stay, I have faith in him, great poacher, hard worker, especially in midfield.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
You may be in a very small minority here. He ball handling skills are really not up to snuff to play in the midfield nor is he particularly quick. He does score goals which is a good thing.Ayman schreef:Im pleased that Siem de Jong is going to stay, I have faith in him, great poacher, hard worker, especially in midfield.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I'm in the camp that thinks Siem is an important player for Ajax. IMO, his on-field attitude and fighting spirit have been critical for the team's success.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Don't worry guys! I bet that by the end of the transfer period, the only player who will be here (between Toby, Siem and Eriksen) will be Siem

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Danish paper Ekstra Bladet is reporting that Eriksen has agreed terms with Milan. Talks in progress between Milan and Ajax about price.
Would be sad to see him leave us this early in his career. IMHO he still needs at least another season with us.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I saw this as well but would note that there is nothing in the Italian press about such a transfer.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I think if he was going to go anywhere it should be Italy or Germany. imo, if he goes england he will just flop. he is nowhere near strong enough physically to cope with the premier league.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
So Ajax have four left backs, Daley Blind (First choice), Boilesen (Injury prone), Koppers (set to leave for Twente), who was the other one that played some first team game for Ajax? I forgot his name. Anyone?

Dijks ,now on loan at Heerenveen is the only other left back

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
de Jong has confirmed he is staying for atleast one more year.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
If Eriksen leaves, that will boost Siem de Jong in the No 10 free role.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
It's always fun to read the transfer rumors at this time of the year. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/l ... sen-467887 reports that Eriksen is moving to Liverpool for €21M!!! Wow, it this were even close to being true, Ajax would be sending a delegation to Merseyside to collect the money ASAP.Ayman schreef:If Eriksen leaves, that will boost Siem de Jong in the No 10 free role.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Would be surprised if we get 21m for Eriksen latest rumour says Liverpool think 15m is steep and Ajax will settle for 14m.All made up of course by the press. Liverpool seems the only main viable rumour at present and they may be waiting to sell Suarez to fund further buys. Hope he does not go there they are not in Europe and prospects of CL in the 2 or 3 years very low.
Dico Koppers is joining Twente although we are not likely to get the 800k we require. Seems alot when we were going to accept 100k for Castillion although that was from a dead broke Greek club .Twente have sold off all their players and have money .
At a lower level Toivomaki the Fin has not had his contract extended and is returning to Lahti in Finland.
Finally Greek and Turkish interest in Enoh seems more than rumours.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Just getting through all the rumours etc in the Daily Mail when I saw the words Liverpool have dropped interest in Eriksen. If true then it is beginning to look like he may stay. Keep our fingers crossed.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
I see where the young Nigerian, Moses Daddy, was not offered a contract. Too much hype maybe?

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
If he doesn't leave now, we will lose him for 3-5mln. in winter or on free in next summer. I like him, but we HAVE to sell him now.SPL schreef:Just getting through all the rumours etc in the Daily Mail when I saw the words Liverpool have dropped interest in Eriksen. Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Eriksen has said he will sign a new contract if he does not go this summer. In that case we may still be looking at 15m next summer.
Just reading about Moses Daddy not coming. Bottom line appears to be as a non EU we have to pay him 275000 pa and Ajax have decided they will only sign him on that sort of money if he is ready for the first team. They have decided he is not ready for the first team and wont pay him that money to just be a Jupiler league player.
Great shame as he has a fantastic name but given Eriksen's basic wage is 800,000 pa the new Ajax regime are not going to pay a 2nd team kid 275,000 pa.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
just to confirm Dico Koppers has joined Twente for somewhere near 800,000 euros, hope he does well
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
+1; he looked good a couple of seasons ago when we were all bashing Daley Blind and Boilesen was hurt. Good left backs are hard to come buy and it's nice that Ajax have developed four of them in the past several years.SPL schreef:just to confirm Dico Koppers has joined Twente for somewhere near 800,000 euros, hope he does well

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
And so Boerrigter is leaving to Celtic for 3.5 million. Why do we do that? Who's on left wing??
May the Force be with you
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Ajax Netwerk running a story about Celtic going in for a 3.5 million euro bid for Derk Boerrigter . I know the starters on the wings are Fischer and Krkic , but I like Boerrigter's pace. That said, it puts Orange Football tweets about a story that there was an absurdly low 3 mill bid for Viktor Fischer by Celtic and Celtic being in Amsterdam into focus. If Boerrigter does go, I hope the likes of Tobias Sana and others will step up to provide depth .
