Actually Alex Morgan is a much better choice in terms of football genes and genius. She is also the kind of forward who has pace and a desire to put the ball in the back of the net! Better looking than Whitney Sharpe as well.

Another one bites the dust. It seems it is the PSV summer. They keep selling their players without problems, at very good prices. They also buy the players they want and sooner or later they will build a strong squad and probably some kind of dynasty again...

New Players for Ajax, indeed. Judging by the last decade or so, can I suggest you focus your efforts on 'producing' wingers and strikers?

I just went over to the UEFA website to look at the current CL qualifiers and there is the possibility right now that we might be in the 2nd pot in terms of the draw. http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague ... 60191.html shows us at 15th in terms of coeficient points, one place ahead of Dortmund! I would love to see us get a good draw!

So basically what you are saying is this will be our Group so far:

One of:

Bayern
Barca
Chelski
Man U
Real (odds on favorite, might as well make it 4 years in a row!)

and

Napoli

We have no chance of winning or going far in the CL until one or both of the folowing happen:

1) Platini leaves UEFA (I am convinced that he hates us and somehow fixes the draw to screw us every year as we get the toughest draw possible).

2) Real financial fair play comes in to level the paying field so that a team like ours that develops talent from within can do well.

It's actually worse than what I originally posted. I forgot about the teams that have to go through the 4th qualifying round (see: http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uef ... l2013.html ) and all have higher points than we do: Arsenal, Lyon, Milan, Schalke, Zenit). Unless there are some big upsets we will be in Pot 3 along with Juve, ManCity, and Dortmund who we won't have to face in the pool play. It will take a really good draw to have any chance again of advancing. Sorry for the early optimism.

There's only one dynasty in the Eredivisie these days and it's us. PSV can chop and change all they want but they're not more talented than we are and they don't have the continuity we have. Plus, because of their financial situation, they will always have to sell players to stay in something resembling financial order while we don't have that same pressure.

In other words, it's a good time to be us.

we are about to sign Stanislav Lobotka an 18 year old Slovakian attacking midfielder from our Slovak partners Trencin,the team of Tscheu La Ling.We are to sign him on a years loan with the option to sign him permenantly in a years time. He played fairly regularly for their first team this last season so would expect him to play in our Jupiler league team .

Muniesa was not good enough for Barcelona and was released on a free transfer. Stoke, as other English teams, can offer much more money than Ajax would. Quite frankly if he's not good enough for Barca, he's not good enough for us since we are a much better side, Neymar not withstanding.

In truth he did not have all that good a season with us this past year and his NT play hasn't been all that thrilling. I hope that he can turn things around this next year with Ajax. I imagine that if he does extend and has a good first half of the year he will be sold in January.

Determined is the key word. If he can play with more tenacity while under pressure, and look to play the ball forward more (instead of all the sideways and backward passes he resorts to), then he can make a big improvement over last year's performance.

And still the kids come ,we are due to sign 16 year old Icelandic striker Ottar Magnus Karlsson next week on a 3 year contract .He evidently agreed the contract in April.

Perhaps some of you English speaking Ajax 'maniacs' didn't see the highlights from SDC Putten - Ajax yet. Especially our new player Dejan Meleg scoring directly from a corner kick was a nice moment!

It really was a wonder goal by Meleg. You don't see goals straight from a corner kick that often. Though maybe the Putten goalie isn't really world class, but still. Maybe we have something special in Meleg. Perhaps he could take the place of Eriksen if/when he leaves. They could also form a creative and dynamic duo in midfield, but of course there's a problem called de Jong. We have to make room in the midfield for our captain.

It was nice to see Boilesen making some good touches. Really hope he stays fit. Sana also looked dangerous. I think we can expect more from him this season because he's now a year more experienced in this level. Also the fact that he kind of faded out last season was understandable because he played two season in a row, since the season runs in the summertime in Sweden.

Agree with you on Tobias Sana King Litti. We should not throw this guy into the trash bin. He deserves some extra time to develope.

That Meleg corner was perfect. I've only seen this from former AZ player Rasmus Elm the past years. If we had Alderweireld or Moisander or Siem on the pitch one of them would probably got it in with his head. But now nobody toughed it, the wind was in the right direction and it was a very nice goal.

That SDC Putten goaly named Van Hemel was playing quiet a good match by the way. No world class but very solid goalkeeping. I expect a guy like Feyenoords Erwin Mulder would have let this one into the net as well.

There is some rumors going on that we are trying to get Bojan Krkic on loan. PSV and Fword are also apparently interested. We have good connection with Barca and we will play CL football next season so I think we have an edge. He would be an Interesting player (if there is any truth to this).

Yesterday the reports said he was off to Betis on loan now they say his first choice is Ajax.Would be a good signing for us.
