Re: Players Leaving Ajax
interesting article on sulejmani:
http://www.vi.nl/nieuws/240310/Sulejman ... n-Ajax.htm
unbelievable we waisted 28 million on him and didn't sell him when we had the chance. has to be the worst buy in club history (and this says a lot, considering we had types such as machlas, luque, atouba).
not sure i will remember a lot of things from him. scored one important goal away at herenveen couple of seasons ago that tied the game, and we ended up winning it, together with the title. but i will also remember the missed chance in lyon in the CL last season where he was one-on-one with lloris and he couldn't make it. game ended 0-0, zagreb effed us over, we know how it ended.
not sure where he is going next. i hear benfica? but doubtful we'll hear/see much from him again.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Reports say that Ajax have agreed to sell Toby to AS Roma.
May the Force be with you
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Pft, really? They'd have to be offering a lot of euros for him to consider that. They're fifth, 25 points behind the leader. Bit of a step down...
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
The main transfer business this summer will likely be Eriksen out and hopefully Maher in . Thus nothing is going to happen until Eriksen makes a decision. If he does not find a new club to his liking he will stay and renew his contract .
Thus today's rumours have Dortmund in pole position for him but a report from caughtoffside site(evidently not a reliable site)
that Liverpool and Ajax have agreed a joint transfer of Eriksen and Toby for 30m euros ie £25m. I can see Toby going there but not sure about Christian. He has indicated that he fancies Dortmund so I think things may move quickly on Christian.
We do not want his transfer to drag on all summer but imo I think he will gone by the end of this month and Maher has been lined up.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Personally I think Dortmund are the best club for Eriksen and the German league is much better for his style of play than the English league. He would really need an enforcer playing behind him in England where as the Bundesliga doesn't tolerate that rough style of play. Plus I really like the Dortmund style of play and it's always fun to watch Jurgen Klopp manage the team, he gets so excited on the touch line. I really hope they beat Bayern in the CL final later in the month!!

It was on skysports news today that Eriksen himself said he wouldnt go to Liverpool and is only interested in Dortmund, think his words were that 12 months ago he didnt consider germany, but its no co-incidence that two german teams are in the champs league final. its a league on the up and wants to be part of that
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Dortmund have offered 12m euros for Eriksen but we want min 15m .I would expect the deal to go through in the next week and hopefully we get 15m which is a decent amount considering he has only 1 year left on his contract. We should also ask for some add ons on any future sale.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
It will be interesting to see how he develops after he leaves. I wonder I'd he'll be able to cope physically in the Bundesliga.
If you only looked at his highlights you might think he was the next Dennis Bergkamp, because he has the ability to play great passes and has scored some nice goals. But in reality he often lost the ball too easily either from slow dribbling, weak passes or being out-muscled. I think we can survive without him, but I hope he does well at his next club.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
15m is a fair price for him and the Bundesliga is that best place for him to improve his skills. If Dortmund are able to keep Lewandoski they could be a special team next year.

Exactly what I was thinking.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
So, I heared a rumor about Babel and Olympiacos. Could it be true? Is he leaving, again?!?!?!
May the Force be with you
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
He has been very clear that he wants to earn more than Ajax are willing to pay. I think the club has a maximum salary of €1m per year and Babel has to make more than that to recoup the money he paid to Hoffenheim to buy out his contract. It's all about the money and not the passion.souras84 schreef:So, I heared a rumor about Babel and Olympiacos. Could it be true? Is he leaving, again?!?!?!

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Mitchell Dijks will be loaned to Heerenveen for next season. I guess the club is satisfied that Boilesen is healthy enough to play a full season (let's hope this happens). Maybe Blind moves to the controlling midfield position.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
A good move for him as he should get plenty of playing time
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Saw a tweet that Babel has completed his transfer to "Kasımpaşa, managed by Shota Arveladze". No idea if it's true or how you say that club's name...
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
It's true. He's gone. Said it wasn't about the money, but for the youth player policy. He wanted to leave for the progress of the youngsters. He said he would like to return again someday

Glad he's found another club, but won't miss him ... terrible first touch, slowed down / broke down the attack every time we were countering.souras84 schreef:It's true. He's gone. Re: Players Leaving Ajax
My first touch is soooo much better than Ryan Babels and, even in these days, still superior to most of the professional football players.
Does anyone have one or two good connections to relaunch my Football career again at a team which pays a good amount of money?

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Well you could probably play for my home club DC United but they don't have much money to pay because there is a cap on wages. You are probably better than a lot of our players. We are currently in last place and it's only fortunate that there is no relegation in our league!Cruijff schreef:My first touch is soooo much better than Ryan Babels and, even in these days, still superior to most of the professional football players.

EDIT Added: I hope Ryan gets the payday he wants. It was a pretty brave thing for him to buy out his contract at Hoffenheim. I've never heard of a player doing that before.

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Can you arrange something for me at DC United?
I will try Switzerland first, lots of money and not a very high level. Or perhaps Serie B in Italy, as I look a bit the same as Marco van Basten in his young years my appearance will make me a local hero in Italy pretty soon.
For the next one or two years I prefer to stay in Europe, but 12 months in the USA seems like a very nice adventure. But of course the down side will be not being able to visit the Ajax games...!

Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Cruijff, what you want to do is get picked up as a third choice goalkeeper. Then you will never have to play and you can just collect your wages and pop back to Amsterdam every weekend for the Ajax games.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
True. But I love playing the game.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Babel is going to get more money in Turkey than staying with us .I wish him well,he was unlucky with injuries this season.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Chiel Kramer the Jong Ajax goalie has joined Heerenveen where he hopes to get more chances. Also Darren Rosheuvel a19 year old left back from our A1 has joined Utrecht on a 2 year deal.He was the only regular A1 player this season not given a contract by us.
Re: Players Leaving Ajax
Send a note to Sonny Silooy, he's the assistant manager for the club!Cruijff schreef:Can you arrange something for me at DC United?
