Yes he will be. But as Ebecilio already played for us in Europe with number 11 he will have number 28 on his back in the UEFA Cup. In league matches Cuenca will play with number 11.

I cannot remember him getting any first team play during the fall portion of the league play. I think when FdB sours on a player, it's pretty much over for him.

I wont open a post for Cuenca as he may already have played his last game. He has fluid on the knee and has returned to Barcelona this week to see the surgeon. Does not sound good for us .Evidently we are paying Barca 500000euros for his 5 month loan which sounds alot when we are doing them a favour by giving him playing time and thus getting him match fit for them.

If true, this was a waste of money. I hope that Cuenca is alright and can return in full health to Barca next season. I would like for out club NOT to engage in the loan market, it really does not serve any developmental usefulness. Let's chalk this one up to a poor decision and move on.

100% agree we should NOT get players on loan. This was intended to be a short term deal that would benefit us but taking a player who has not played since last May was a risk and it looks like it has failed. Barca wont want to risk him so I will be surprised if he returns , at least we wont have had to pay the full 500k euros.

We signed a Belgium CD today called Nathan Leyder from Zulte Waregem.He was 16 yesterday and unlike the other Belgiums
signed in the past for our youth he is a Walloon from Namur .He had been at Club Brugge until last November but left because he had been bullied by some other players.He has signed a 3 year contract from July this year.

We are likely to sign a Sparta Rotterdam right winger on a 3 year contract called Anwar El Ghazi ,he is nearly 18.

As the likes of Siem de Jong, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderwiereld leave. Ajax really need to sign some quality players. A versatile player like Jonny Heitinga would be good. As for the centre back position. Any thoughts on Jeffrey bruma?

I think Bruma lacks quickness. This can be made up from good positioning but I'm not sure that he's at the point where he understands this. He's probably a good defender for the Eredivisie but I wouldn't want to see him stifle the development of Veltman who I think has quicker reactions.

FdB says he wont sign another defender as Veltman is ready and so is Denswil. V Rhijn can play central defender .

Maher and V Ginkel are being looked at if Eriksen and Siem leave.

Love it, I really like the idea of bringing Van Ginkel, a dynamic midfielder we have been lacking with good pass acurracy. nd I love that Frank has confidence in our home grown talent. I like Gouweleeuw but he didn't progress so much this season, and don't think he is too much ahead of Veltman in terms of talents.

Meleg, number 10 but also potential winger says De Boer

As for the immediate first team action, I don't see us bringing more than a midfielder to replace Siem and Eriksen.
It will be Maher or Van Ginkel, with Serero and some youths (Andersen and Klaassen, or the same Meleg maybe) coming more in for the 8 and 10 positions.
As for the defence, I see the couple Moisander-Denswil definitely more solid than the Veltman-Moisander one. That's my only fear for next season: the new defence. I would not to be offendend to see Heitinga back :) But Denswil is really destined to be a great player.
Finally, maybe a new backup keeper is needed if Cillessen goes on loan to play more. It can be tricky to do all the season with rookies van der Hart and Leeuwenburgh, althoug both highly rated.

Denswil and Moisander can't be paired in De Boer's plans as they are both seen as left centre-backs, which is why Veltman is the choice for pairing Moisander.

OG . Would add Bazoer to your list and there is talk of another Danish lad and a Swedish lad coming both 16.

I do not see us buying a replacement for Toby and I was very impressed with Denswil . We have a lot of young defenders coming through but we are linked with a young Barca lad Muniesa on loan.

If both Siem and Christian leave I too see only 1 new midfielder ie Maher or V Ginkel. We are linked with a Sergi Roberto on loan from Barca but I read Spurs want him.Serero and hopefully a fit Klaassen are going to get playing time. If Cillessen goes on loan an experienced no 2 will be needed.

We may need to get another winger. Babel is likely to join Sulejmani in leaving and Boerrigter is talking of leaving.Lukoki and Sana aren't good enough leaving us with Fischer.Cuenca is hoping to come back on loan but we need to be sure his injured knee is 100%.

Moisander can play on the right ,I believe he did so at AZ.

Things are definitely looking good at the moment in terms of replacements. We've even got a backup striker for a change, if de Jong goes I think Hoesen could be pretty useful next year.

The only weak spot seems to be wingers. I agree with SPL that we need at least one more, I would even say two because I see Fischer as an attacking midfielder.

GK might also be a problem in the future, but only because we have two good goalies. Vermeer was great this season but it would be a mistake to sell Cillessen off if Vermeer ends up leaving after next season.
