I'm a bit late to wish everyone a merry Christmas, having just gotten back from ten wonderful days in Thailand, so let me go ahead and wish everyone a happy New Year instead.

Let's dig this one up...

It was a pretty darn good Ajax year: third Dutch title in a row, decent Champions League run, unforgettable win against Barça, no string of miserable results in November and December, winter champions... We mustn't grumble.

For me, personally, 2013 was a good but extremely busy year. The by far most hectic year of my life, by far. My kids and 3 and 1 years old. My workload was enormous. I'm hoping for a New Year that's a bit more... quiet. Some more spare time would be nice.

I wish you all a very, very Happy Christmas and a fantastic New Year.
