At least we are done with Utrecht for this season.

your ratings sum us up ie good defence but not so good attackers. Boerrigter was imo our best forward today. We do need to get some forwards fit as Siem is still a midfielder and not a real striker and Fischer is very young and very much a work in progress. Would have liked to have had Babel and Siggy getting amongst the Utrecht defence today.

A bad result, but still happy that we were able to avoid our usual winter slump with a string of wins and this tie. We're definetly on track to defend our title. Looking forward to spring with Balel and Siggy back and lots of action as we are still in the cup and in Europe. This could still prove to be a great season for us. Happy holidays you guys!

Agree Boerrigter should play on the left side .As for taking him off at Ht the only other attacking player on the bench was Andersen who is a raw kid with 13 mins of first team behind him ,mind he nearly scored in that time.

It will be interesting to see who we are when Sigthorrson returns. He's a much stronger player than Hoesen in the middle. I'm of mixed feeling about de Jong when that happens. He drops back to the midfield and Schöne comes off. We are then much weaker in the midfielder. It's a huge trade off for FdB. I was impressed that we were not pushed around today as we have been in past Utrecht matches and even Duplan (our major nemesis) came on for the second half we were able to cope well. Remember also that we had a Thursday fixture at Groningen and Utrecht were well rested for us. I hope that we don't lose anyone on transfer in January and that the EL campaign does not prove to be a major distraction as we are the only Dutch team left in Europe right now.

Missed this one but judging by the highlights we should have wrapped it up in the first half. Ah well, we are in a better spot than usual for the winterstop and everything's still possible. Hope everyone has a nice break! We start again on the 20th at home against Feyenoord and we should at least have Babel and Kolbeinn back by then.
