Reports here say, Babel is in his helicopter in order to sign for someone, (he apparently bought his own contract out) only Ajax and fiorentina interested so far

Yes, it's up on de Telegraaf website as well. Pretty decent signing since there is no transfer fee involved and Babel is still a young player. Maybe he will work his ass off since he has something to prove if he wants to continue his career.

Our primary cf and starting winger can't stay fit. We are able to land an experienced ( and experienced in The Ajax Way) player short term. What's not to like ?

Good signings Andersen is one of the best talents in Denmark and has chosen us over richer clubs. No problem with Babel coming for a year he has paid out the last year of his contract so that must have been around say 2m and clearly knows coming here its 1m plus bonuses and the chance to put his career back on track.

De Telegraaf meldt dat Ajax vandaag ook de transfer van Dejan Meleg heeft afgerond. Ajax kwam tot een akkoord met zijn club FK Vojvodina Novi Sad over een transfersom van enkele tonnen. De linksbenige speler wordt op 1 oktober 18, waarna de nodige papieren kunnen worden geregeld. Hij is vervolgens vanaf 1 januari speelgerechtigd voor Ajax.

The Telegraph reports that Ajax today's transfer of Dejan Meleg completed. Ajax came to an agreement with his club FK Vojvodina Novi Sad on a transfer of several tons. The left-footed player on October 1, 18, after the necessary paperwork can be arranged. He then from 1 January to play for Ajax.

Are we planning to play him ahead of the players we have been developing and also the new ones we have brought in? I'm not so sure I would like to see that. Would you start him in front of Sana or Boerrigter? I hope not. But if his role was as a sub, how would that work as a way of getting his career back on track?

Exactly my thoughts. If this is good for us then it won't be good for him and vice versa. Of course both these are long term scenarios.

Boerrigter and Siggy both appear injury prone and he will get playing time . Sana must start with Lukoki being his cover on the right. Sulejmani I do not see even getting on the bench and fear he may be stuck in Jong Ajax until January when we will probably let him go for next to nothing.

So, the prodigal son returns. And I welcome him back. He's experienced, fit and seems motivated. I just hope Babel is willing to accept whatever role FdB gives him because I think he will really have to work hard to earn a place in the startng 11 and that's only fair.

They left it pretty late, but I'm very pleased with the new signings overal. Cant't wait to see Andersen in action.

I agree with this. He bought himself out of his contract and wanted to come here. I hope he's willing to put in the hard work to make himself a contributor to the team, and if he creates some competition for a starting spot then the whole team benefits.
