Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
I want to see MvB back at the club and I think the Technical Director role will suit him. Also if we want to boost revenue we should sign someone who is a star in Asia like Makoto Hasebe who is out of contract in the summer and Japan captain and also he is a much better option in midfield than Fatty Janssen.
But in reality I just want all this to be sorted out, it´s obviously affecting the players and the longer it goes on I fear the worst for our beloved club!
I am another who feels sorry for Danny Blind, he has some coaching skills and should be kept as that. All the young defenders who we´re coached by him name him as a big influence and an idol to them, Vermaelen and Vertonghen included.

T.I.P.S.= Technique, insight, personality and speed, this is the Ajax way.

In new structure there won't be place for a Tecnical director, that's for sure. But will be a "powerful" general director with both business and football vision.

Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
News of the day: Ten Have and Romer resigned from RvC.
This means that plan Cruyff goes on.
Formally Edgard Davids, Marjan Olfers and JC are still in charge. Don't know exactly what's the next step. For sure the new Bestuursraad is expected to give some candidates for the new Rvc. Then also the other 3 will resign and the new Rvc will fix a (interim) General Director.
Is it correct?

Next step: Olfers and Davids announce they resign.
Remains to be understood if JC, who should resign as last, will then be part of the new RvC, which already has some candidates.
And then, the most important thing: a new General Director.

Also JC announced he will resign. And that he is available for another role "in order to bring his vision" of the club.

Yes ave, just in case it got lost in the translation, the whole process ended in a victory for Cruijff and (imho) Ajax.aveslacker schreef:WTF?orange goblin schreef:Also JC announced he will resign. And that he is available for another role "in order to bring his vision" of the club.
For now anyways.

Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
Ths is pribably just paper talk (though n the web) but Liverpool are apparently after JC for a role in their new backroom set up.

Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
I'm sure Liverpool's owners would love to have JC there to improve the quality of their management, just as Luis Suarez has improved the quality of their football (if not their PR!).SE6Ajacied schreef:Ths is pribably just paper talk (though n the web) but Liverpool are apparently after JC for a role in their new backroom set up.

I doubt JC would be interested - but if he did go, I hope he'd do as much damage as when he visited Anfield in 1965!
I see Louis van Gaal has expressed interest in the Liverpool job. I think he would be a better choice all round.
Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
I think this is just a huge rumor. Big problem for Liverpool is that they spent a huge amount of money for very average players and financially are at the mercy of their American owners. The previous owners, also American, were forced to sell the club because of the financial downturn and it remains to be seen whether the 'Boston Red Sox' group stays interested in English football. I've watched a lot of Liverpool football this season and they have some significant problems. For sure they won't qualify for CL football again this season but have qualified for Europa League by winning the Carling Cup (they are still in the FA cup as well). I don't think Daglish is the one who can manage this team and maybe van Gaal would be a good choice to bring in.

Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
I hope that FdB doesn't believe that he should move down to Barca to take over now that Guardiola is leaving (don't think it will happen).
EDIT: Needn't have worried; Barca are going with Pep's assistant, Tito Villanova.

According to multiple sources Frank de Boer has turned down an approach from Liverpool to become their manager. Quiet right too, that club is a basket case...

local press here says that FdB has rejected approach from Aston Villa.......if Liverpool are headcases, what the hell are Villa? Why go from CL to English Championship, cos that's where they're going!!!

Re: Ajax Directors, Board, Staff
Finally, the 3 new members of the Board of Commissars have been appointed.
New chairman is old Dutch Minister Hans Wijers. With him, Theo van Duivenbode and Leo van Wijk.
Their first task is to find 2 more Commissars and a new General Director.
After that, this painful saga around the club should be arrived to an end.
