Players Leaving Ajax

Spurs are talking about Vertoghen somewhere about 12m euros mentioned and they want him in January . I think both he and Greg will leave in January. We need to rebuild our defence, as Ooijer Blind and Vermeer should not be in our squad and Anita is not a full back. That leaves only Toby and Boilesen and he has not played that many games before his injury. Our defence has been poor all season and given Greg and Jan will leave in any case come next summer I think we should sell them now and rebuild.
Bolton and Everton fancy Heereveen's Dutch U 21 defender Joey Gouweleeuw whose contract runs out next summer.We could start by buying him !!

I know we are still in with a chance of the title ,only 8 points adrift, but our rebuilding should start next month . Out of a max 25 players who were nominally first teamers at the start of the season I predict half of them will be gone by the start of next season (Verhoeven,Silva, Ooijer,Blind,V d Wiel Vertoghen, Aissati, El Ham, Bulykin all certain to be sold or not extended plus one or 2 others may go. Ozbiliz,Ebecilio and Serero should all be on loan as I doubt they are good enough for us at present. ).

Tough times , first team squad needs rebuilding, Fword has a better youth academy than us at present and war taking place in the board room .

Vermeer have had some poor games recently but mostly because of his passes.. I believe in him, he have exellent reflexes and he is a good keeper he defently have a spot in this team..

But he refused to extend his contract and I think really wants to leave. Regarding SPL's post immediately above, I think he's correct on who should leave. I don't think Vertonghen is a central defender for the EPL. Maybe Spurs want to use him at left fullback or in the midfield but this is my opinion. If both he and van der Wiel leave in January we will be terribly thin but maybe this is what's needed.

I do hope this silly Board stuff gets sorted out soon. I don't think the club can risk the loss of all the youth coaches who are implementing Cruyff's plan to overhaul the academy.

Well the transfer season is upon us and the silly season of rumors continues. Reports today suggest Espanyol want El Ham and Aissati with a fee of 5m euros for the 2. Getting rid of El Ham has to be no 1 aim for January. I would not expect anyone to bid more than 3m euros for him and the big worry is what happens if no one wants him . Come the summer we would have to give him a free transfer!

Other rumour today from Daily Mirror is Chelsea want 3 players in January and Greg is one of them .Still think he will leave in January if only to Valencia.

I am only repeating old stories here but January will be interesting . One or 2 players to go out on loan also.

IMO Vertonghen is very very important to us. I do hope he will not leave in January. It’s certainly not the appropriate time to “rebuild”. We need all of our best players to keep fighting for the title.

with the first team off to Brazil for the week and Jong and A1 youths off to Cyprus for the week there should be no players leaving or contracts extended until 16 January week .

Our friend El Ham is training with Morocco and in the pre selection squad . I read today that Fiorentina find his salary too high ie 1.8m euros pa. Getting rid of this player is going to be very difficult imo . I do not see anyone buying him if he goes to the African Nations Cup and even if he does not go there I think at best we may do some sort of loan deal .Mind we will still end up paying the majority of his wages. With 2 more seasons after this on contract I think we may see more loaning of him at best and us paying at least 50% of his wages.

We have been saddled with a similar problem with Cvitanich who has been on loan for 18 of the past 24 months. When his current loan runs out in June he still has a year left of his contract . The only difference with him is that he is not on such a high salary and the Mexican team,where he spent a year , paid his salary in full and gave us some money for the loan . I think Boca ,where he currently is ,are paying most of his salary so we can be greatful.

Of course there is one big difference with Cvitanich and that is he wants to play football whereas EL Ham 's hero has to be Winston Bogarde !!

PS At least we will finally get rid of Silva and Aissati in June when their 1m euros pa contracts finally expire.

Cvitanich is starting for Boca and playing quite well. I still think he has quality and commitment. Trouble is Argentinian teams don't have the financial resources to pay the same level of salaries that are paid in Europe.

It appears Cruyff was not happy with Ajax letting Boere go. As we said the kid was clearly fed up about his prospects and when a midfielder from the youth team is picked as a striker ahead of him for the first team then no one can blame him leaving .

Talk today that V Rhijn has other clubs interested . Ajax have offered an extension but he wants to see what Ajax have planned for him . If he is just to be a bench sitter next season then clearly he will be off as he is coming up 21 and spent the last 18 months in Jong Ajax. He only extended to June 2012 because he wanted this season to see if he could break through. Others of his age like Sneijder ,Castillion Bonevacia signed to 2013 and went off on loan . If he does not feel he is going to break through I cannnot blame him moving on .
Some of the guys on Netwerk are blaming Blind for not pushing the contract but its Frank de Boer who picks the team.

Finally Fiorentina are interested in el Ham . We want 3m euros but they will only want to pay 2m . El ham's salary is shown at 1.5m euros but Fiorentina do not want to pay more than 950k.

Saw on Ernst Bouwes' tweet stream that Liverpool are interested in Vermeer and Lazio are willing to take Sulejmani for €10M (€5M less than we paid). Both seem ridiculous to me.

Looks like the Bouy transfer to Juventus is going forward. I guess we get some money for him and I wish him well but suspect that this is not a wise move. Anyway, we still have a lot of youth players who are probably just as promising and the club won't miss him too much.

EDIT - I just see that Castignos has refused a loan from Inter where he's not playing at all. I wonder when Inter will tire of this and unload him. These young players are pretty stupid (or are being misled by their agents).

Just read the transfer of Bouy goes through we get 200,000 euros but rumors say he is on 1m euros per year!! I would not imagine his new offer at Ajax would be higher than say 200k per year so one can understand why he is going .The agent will of course get a big cut !! we get no more now than we would have done had he left aged 16 without a contract
We do not lose kids at this age abroad and this will hopefully be rare.

Only kids from us who have left to go abroad as teenagers were de Wit to Juve, Owusu Abeye to Arsenal ,both aged 16 and now nowhere and V Velzen a winger who joined Man U in 2010 aged 16 and will likely disappear also.

I do not wish Bouy well and he will go the way of all the other Dutch players who have gone abroad aged 19 and under. Only Krul at Newcastle has made it .

Manchester evening paper says Ferguson wants Eriksen ,will offer £15m and also wants Victor Fischer the Danish talent in our A1 youth .

Well all of europe wants Eriksen and he wont leave for less than 20m euros He has recently stated he wont go just to sit on the bench but imo he is not ready for EPL .

Fischer turned down Chelsea and Man City less than a year ago to join us and we paid 1m euros . I am sure Man u saw him play well v Barcelona the other week and assume being only 17 they can pick him up for nothing . He is under contract to June 2014 and Man U would have to pay at least 5m for him imo. He has been injured alot and if he joined them he would just be lost in their youth squad .

Eriksen should emulate Snjeider (Wesley and not Rodney) and stay for 2-3 more years. His game is still not polished and he needs a little more physical maturity. Moving right now would be a mistake and I think he and his father (who I believe is his manager) are aware of this. EPL football is really rough and I'm not sure that's the best place for him (he's not going to get the same kind of protection from match officials as you get in the Dutch league).

I agree with everything you say here, and furthermore, unless someone throws silly money at the club, I think Ajax will turn all the offers down anyway. Eriksen has a good head on his shoulders and seems to know what is best for him.

On the question of Lodeiro going his contract is up in June but we have a 2 year option on it so if we do decide to let him go we will likely get say 2m due to the option clause.

He has never really been played in his right position and I would like to see him stay and let Janssen the other left footed midfielder go .I know they are different types but I like to see a left footed midfielder play . From the 15 mins I saw of him in that January friendly in Brazil I really was impressed with Ouasim Bouy but thats water under the bridge.

We will see Aissati leave but we will have Anita and Enoh as holding midfielders with de Kamps and Sporkslede also in that position and Eriksen de Jong Serero and Klaassen all right footed attacking midfielders . Thus my theory is we need a left footed midfielder .

So I would extend Lodeiro for 2 years and give him another season to see what he can do.
