Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Maybe was it rather unwise from El Hamdaoui to threaten Ajax before his transfer to Fiorentina was a done deal.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
I cannot say Ajax were wrong to pull the plug as they were being asked for another 1m euros in compensation and no Bank guarantee had been provided.
However we are now lumbered with him and as he is going nowhere until the summer thats another 1m euros in salary we are going to pay out so why did we not just pay the compensation and let him go ? As for the Bank Guarantee ok we should need one as I assume the 2m transfer fee would be paid over the next 2years but does anyone believe Ajax will get any money for him come the summer.
Thus by letting him go ,giving him 1m euros and no Bank Guarantee , we were rid of him .We may or may not get the 2m in transfer but that would be a bonus.
Now we are faced with terminating his contract ,which must be the only solution. We will not get a transfer fee for the guy so will have to let him go for nothing . As I said 1m to be paid up until the summer then he has 2 years of a contract left at 2.1 m euros per annum ( All the Dutch footballers salaries have been published today and he earns 2.1m euros)
I doubt anyone will pay him much more than say 1m pa so we will have to pay the shortfall up until June 2014 and thats about 2m
So by saying no last night Ajax will now go to court and end up paying another 3m plus .
Thats how to run a football club ?????????
Well at present Ajax is not being run at all and we have Cruyff and his big ego and the Board with their egos all fighting each other and not caring about Ajax at all .
I bet the average Ajax fans could run the club better .

€7.13 with 18.3M shares outstanding. I suspect we would need a fairly sizable number of wealthy patrons to take control of the company. I'm not sure about how it is incorporated and what impact a "foreign" take over might mean for the club. Unfortunately, I don't have enough in the bank to become a majority stockholder!!souras84 schreef:how much does a share cost?

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Just to correct the article states El Ham earned 2.1m last year but his salary with us is 1.8m euros.
Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Perhaps the difference was a bonus for winning the league (not that MEH did anything to help).SPL schreef:Just to correct the article states El Ham earned 2.1m last year but his salary with us is 1.8m euros.

My first and last input on this but I suspect he would differ. Seem to remember him scoring some great goals early in ther season, more than one of them crucial in getting a point or three.Orange14 schreef: (not that MEH did anything to help).

Bizarre sensation, innit...
In the last hours before the transfer window closes, we normally pray that certain will stay.
This time we were praying that certain people would go.
But it all ended in tears anyway...

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
On top of that this blunder will probably cost us more money :
The transfer of sidelined Ajax striker Mounir El-Hamdaoui to Fiorentina collapsed on Tuesday evening after the Italian side failed to deliver a bank guarantee on time, the Telegraaf reports.
The two sides had agreed a €2m transfer fee and bonuses of up to €3m, but Fiorentina did not meet the deadline to deliver a guarantee, the paper said. Nor did Ajax receive the first down payment.
El-Hamdaoui has been out of the first team all season because of a dispute with coach Frank de Boer. His representative Sigi Lens says the player should be entitled to compensation from Ajax for damage to his career.
Lens blamed the collapse of the deal on the Amsterdam club for making demands after the close of the Italian transfer window. DutchNews

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Ajax version is pretty much different. Slop stated that Mounir and his agent claimed 900.000 and then 600.000 euros to break the contract. The club offered 200.000. End of the story.
As for the bank guarantee or the knowledge that in Italy the deadline is at 19.00, Slop says that the guarantee they wanted was appointed january the 9th, so someone is lying. Consider that the Bouy deal is gone without problems, that should mean something.

Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
The list is total earnings in 2011
El Ham 2.1m (Ajax wages are 1.8)
V DWiel 1.45 ( Ajax wages are 1m) tv and music video work the balance
Janssen 1.15m ( Ajax wages are nearer 1.5 as the figure includes Twente wages)
Aissati 1m
Anita 900k
de Jong 880k
Vermeer 750k
Blind 660k ,do not all faint thats 660,000 euros pa
Cillessen 610k (Ajax wages are higher ,nearer 750k as the figures includes NEC wages)
Ooijer 600k
Old players
Sneijder 12m
de Jong 8.6m
Seedorf 5m
Heits 4.5m
KJH 4.4m
Other dutch
V Bommel 9m and Robben 9m V Persie not mentioned but Arsenal would not be paying anyone more than 100k per week so thats 5m
Looking at our list quite a few will leave this summer. Blind's figure is a joke and how can you have a reserve goalie earning as much as your first choice.
It is of course just for dutch players Sulejmani was quoted as our top earner at 2m. I believe Vertoghen is on about 1.5. assume Enoh Toby Eriksen are all on about 1m mark and Silva ,yes he is still here is on 1m

Personally (and you lot may disagree with me) im angry hes still here, but at the very least he is a proven eredivisie goal scorer, if were struggling for players to score goals, and he can do it, and is willing to. then why not let him score?
Re: Mounir El Hamdaoui
Because he is sick (mentally but not only
) since he was benched once?

doesnt matter, if he has a contract, he has to do his job, if he doesnt then hes in breach of that, and thus we shouldnt pay him.Cedric_AeF schreef:Because he is sick (mentally but not only) since he was benched once?

It looks like he's Fiorentina-bound for a fee of 850,000 euros...
Would be great to get rid of this guy, but I won't believe it until it's a 100% officially 'done deal' announced on the website of both clubs, as this dude is an absolute master at screwing up his own transfers by throwing all kinds of silly last-minute demands on the table...
