Shit game, but entirely worth it to see Davy Klaasen score 60 seconds into his debut!
Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
Unbelievable!! Klaasen barely comes on and blasts home the third!!
Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
Ok boys I know you've been tired by the CL game and all, but please don't let NEC score 3 goals....ok?

Nice to see Ajax emerge from the suck . Hope Vermeer isn't injured too badly. Paraphrasing Leo Driessen " No goals against and no yellow for Enoh ". Congratulations to Davy Klaasen . Eredivisie Live says he's first Ajacied since Siem de Jong to score on his debut. F-Side twitter poses question of a Tom Boere goal for next week.

Liked Ligeon a lot, made a few forward runs and the team kept a clean sheet with him playing right back.

Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
In the end a 3-0 win which was closer than the scoreboard indicated. Sulejmani had perhaps the weakest two goal game I've ever seen. Lucky to be in the right place at the right time for each goal with little creativity needed. Still too many back passes to the keeper by our two central defenders and when you have a keeper who has kicking problems this is not a good thing. Nice move by Eriksen to beat two men and for Klassen to realize he had a free run in from the middle to take the pass and convert.
Vermeer - poor kicking but decent keeping until he was carried off with what looks like an ankle sprain; Cillesen had only one weak shot to save and showed that he is a much better kicker and distributor of the ball than Vermeer (though he had one throw to the center of the field which was a turnover). Anita had a great game and really was responsible for the first goal. Ligeon didn't have much to do defensively and charged forward with abandon. He needs to recognize when he has a man open and to get the cross in earlier (though without a proper striker he can be excused the latter). Enoh had one of his better games; good passing and he is finally turning around to face upfield when he gets the ball which helps prevent turnovers, definitely a positive player for the team today. Janssen took free kicks and turned the ball over. Eriksen had a fine game but unfortunately didn't have many opportunities to pass to open men with this makeshift lineup. Ebecilio looked slow and did not make a positive contribution. Sulejmani had luck on his side today. Lodeiro held the ball up well and did what he could in an unfamiliar position. Aissati did well coming on for Ebecilio and could see more playing time in the future. Klassen did well taking the goal and seems to be a classic Ajax player with good skills.
It's good to see the team come out of their Eredivisie funk and as others have noted, the team really needs to start winning matches. Let's hope this is the first in a long string. As the great American baseball sage, Yogi Berra said, "...it's not over 'till it's over," and until the team is mathematically eliminated, there is still hope.

Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
Good win finally, Ligeon played well, Enoh was immense carrying on his CL performance, liked the energy that Aissati brought to the game. Hopefully Vermeer will be ok and well done Davy Boy!!
T.I.P.S.= Technique, insight, personality and speed, this is the Ajax way.
Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
I did not post at Ht as it was so boring there was nothing to say but a great second half for us.At 2-0 I thought back to last week but when Klaassen came on I thought he will score and what within 60 seconds a beautiful goal set up and scored by teenagers. A local kid just out the youth team coming on and scoring a lovely sight. With our 2 main strikers injured and another not picked I believe we should be giving Klaassen and Boere games as they score goals and know where the net is . In the first half the front 3 ran around like headless chickens and Lodeiro is not a striker. Hope Vermeer is ok.

Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
I wish de Boer would realize how much of a liability Janssen is on the field. He is terible for our pressing game, and is almost never an option for Eriksen to pass. he also tends to give the ball away with his long passes. If Boilese returns I woouldn't mind a Midefield with Enoh Anita and Eriksen, it could be very dynamic and Anita can help both on the defensive and attacking dimensions of the mid-section. For now, maybe Aissati could step in the role as a third midfielder.

4th in the table with more than half a season to play. Excelsior Saturday , then home to Real on Dec 7 (hopefully not a day of infamy for Ajax). COME ON AJAX !! The calorically challenged lady hasn't sung yet.

2 seasons ago we won something like 14 and drew 3 of our last 17 games ,and still finished second but we will need to do something similar this season to stand a chance.
Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
Pretty much agree with you on the first half performance from our "front" line. I was stunned at how slow Ebecilio has looked in the last two matches. I hope Boerrigter can come back shortly.SPL schreef:With our 2 main strikers injured and another not picked I believe we should be giving Klaassen and Boere games as they score goals and know where the net is . Can I ask, was Klaassen playing left or right midfield? and is he left or right footed
Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
FDB swapped him for Lodeiro....so CF reallyAyman schreef:Can I ask, was Klaassen playing left or right midfield? and is he left or right footed
Re: 27 Nov 2011: NEC - Ajax
He is a right footed attacking midfielder and is the leading scorer for the A1 youth team
