We simply have to let Janssen and Eriksen loose together and until January our only options are Anita, Blind or Enoh as defensive midfielder.

In the transfer window a defender is a must as Ooijer is not enough. My preference would be to buy a CB and play Vertonghen as DM when we were down to 10 men today he stepped into midfield and looked at home there. I know he plays for Belgium there also.

We won't have enough money to buy anyone of quality. The team only made €5.5 M and that was from Suarez sale and CL football last year. If the team is too many points behind the top two, I don't think the management will permit a large acquisition without selling somebody.

a good come back in the end especially when Enoh got sent off. Way back in August I thought our defensive cover was non existant and Ooijer proves this . He is too slow and we have no left back cover as Blind is poor and Anita is not a left back. Apart from Enoh I thought the rest were ok. imo he is so poor de Jong does not look too bad. We need Anita back in DM with Janssen and Eriksen as attacking mf.

AZ did not impress me and they will not be top at the end of the season . If we can stop giving away soft goals we can still challenge .

I understand what your saying but maybe Lodeiro might go, Frank obviously doesn't rate him, we may get some money for El Ham & Aissati too.

Even a loan signing would be OK, just something to give Eriksen and Janssen the chance to go forward in tandem.

I don't think anyone wants Aissati or Lodeiro. Fulham may want MEH but only for bargain price.

I think we may get 3m for El H but no one will pay money for Aissati and as for Lodeiro I can see us letting him go on loan to Argentina ,like Cvitanich and we wont get any transfer money for him.His contract expires next summer but has a 2 year option .At present I do not see us taking up that option.Thus we wont have much money coming in this winter break.

If El Ham goes for 3m we should test FC Kobenhavn´s metal with Mathias ´Zanka´ Jorgensen for the same money, he´s a good player, will know Eriksen and Boilesen and will free Vertonghen to play further forward. We´ll simultaneously strengthen our defence and midfield with that one signing.

But all in all, a draw I am happy with. Cosidering missing players and Enoh´s, well Enohism. Janssen was better and de Jong had a decent game and is showing everyone he is a CF not a midfielder. Ligeon did well when he came on also. He looks a capable understudy for Greg.

In spite of the very poor first half, and bad final result, it was a great game to watch. Alderweireld can not play as a right winger, and that’s actually why Ooijer was substituted at half time. Enoh made two blunders in one : losing the ball, then a stupid foul and second yellow card. Incredible miss by AZ for 1-3. Janssen much better as an attacking than a defensive middle field (of course). We missed van der Wiel as well as a proper right winger (why doesn’t Ozbiliz play : still injuried ?). Incredible save by Cillessen in extra time.
