Would have been good if they'd bothered to learn what the minutes silence and black armbands were for in Twente's game v AZ - not as if the stadium collapse wasn't all over the news here at the time,,,,Blind3 schreef:Whatever happened to commentators doing their homework ? Learning pronunciations of the names of the athletes participating in the match they are presenting sounds like broadcasting 101 to me. Nevermind that Walczyk and Waalwijk are spelled just a bit different.

Does anyone use http://www.livedutcheredivisie.tv
I'm thinking about subscribing as they do show all Eredivisie games, but I don't know what the quality is like.

Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts)
Judging by their highlights videos, it's the same feed you get on 13th Stream or M&M on SopCast.
Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts)
I don't like the 8.99 per month format. In the first place, I'd rather do it on a pay per view basis; in the second, I think it's way too pricy for an internet feed.

Good news for fans in France : many Eredivisie games are broadcasted live on MCS (Ma Chaîne Sport) channel. Unexpectedly thoughtful comments.

Former Feyenoord defender John de Wolf is in a new TV commercial for a health insurance company and I think it's pretty funny. Cult, of course, but actually funny, too.
Here it is.
Useful translation...
When De Wolf jumps out of bed, the old lady shouts "Nurse! Nurse! He's doing it again!"
And then the voice-over/pay-off: "We feel that health insurance companies should allow their clients to choose the hospitals of their own preference" - or something to that effect.
K.

Has anyone tried livesport.tv? They call themselves the 'official online broadcaster' of the Eredivisie. I'm in Australia, and it says they are the "official broadcaster in my country", so I'm guessing that will apply to places outside the Netherlands. US$90 per season, for streaming of every match. Don't think that includes UEFA fixtures.
According to the website:

I couldn't get the test video to run on my computer (MacOS 10.6.8, Google Chrome 16.0.912.77). A bit too busy to reboot in Wintel mode for the minute. SopCast seems to be fairly reliable these days, with the occasional blackout or loss of sound, but I'd consider paying $90 to get guaranteed streams. Anyone got any thoughts?livesport.tv schreef:Watch the 2011/12 season

I assume that you've tried bet 365 and it doesn't work in Australia. I opened an account about 2-3 years ago, put £10.00 in it and get every Eredivisie game free so that I can bet on itTom_ schreef:Has anyone tried livesport.tv? I have tried Bet365, but the resolution is a killer for me. The SopCast streams we get these days, at 800–1000 Kb/s, look decent on a 27″ monitor from across the room—far better for me than squinting at a laptop, but I have imperfect eyesight.

Hi Tom, let me know how you get on if you get the livesport thing working... I wanted to get into that as well, but they didnt accept my creditcard, and they havent responded to any of my emails!
Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts, YouTube etc.)
Well, ignoring customer emails is certainly not a good sign. I will report back, if I go through with it.
By the way, it seems that they accept PayPal as well.

Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts, YouTube etc.)
I too have wondered about livesport . At present sopcast has 13th stream ,ok it was in German last week, and MM4 also shows every game . Between them plus DSC also dutch on sopcast I have missed hardly any action in any of our games. Pictures have been fairly clear always.
Until sopcast coverage packs up I will stick with it but for 50 euros per season it would of course be nice to get a proper official stream .
PS. Here in the UK ESPN show nearly every game but although this Sunday is live nearly every game is shown on Monday mornings.I have therefore not bothered to get it.
Keep us posted.

Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts, YouTube etc.)
For those in the UK ESPN Classic are showing 1/2 hour highlights of Liverpool v Ajax from 1966 tomorrow at 10.15pm. It's repeated a couple of times on Friday as well.

Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts, YouTube etc.)
OK so I really want to see tomorrow's game, but my only option will be a SOPcast feed. Is there any way to learn *prior to kickoff* if there is a feed for this game? Or should I simply ask in this forum for someone to post a link or feed address once the game starts.
Many thanks!!!!

Hello,
You can look for the link on this site: http://www.rojadirecta.me/
and if you have sopcast installed you can always find an appropriate
sopcast links for the game.
So check it out.

Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts, YouTube etc.)
Jim, I got up at ungodly hours for Ajax games for years, so I'm familiar with the "will it be on?" anxiety.
For the last few years, SopCast has been pretty reliable for league games. The links appear on Rojadirecta about 5 minutes before kickoff, but it's usually the same channel anyway.
I'm sure you'll be able to watch the party!

Re: Ajax on Television (+ Webcasts, YouTube etc.)
You can also use the SopCast tab to find the listing as well. The '13th Stream' routinely caries Ajax matches and tends to be a pretty good feed.
