Ondaan ,the A1 left winger, has not been offered a contract yet but Arica ,the A2 leading scorer and about to finish as a youth is being offered a contract.

Donald playing still is a bit of a surprise as he should at best just be a sub like Suk. Sno playing and as a striker words fail me !!!!!!!! Castillion has a problem with injury since the ADO 1st team debut .
Not sure why Toivomaki and Overtoom are not getting a game.

There are just 2 more league games left .

He has all the tools except what is between his ears. Too bad really since physically he could be quite good. I've always felt that his skills are pretty darn good, trouble is he zones out and you never know when that's going to happen.

Returning to proper Jong Ajax players, I read that CV Bryan Ottenhoff has signed for twente.

Just read about Ottenhoff. He has been injured for the best part of the last 18 months although he is fit now but not played for the Jong . Surprised Twente have signed him but of course he will just play for their Jong team next season .

There is to be a mini CL for U21 teams next season and Ajax will be included. 8 teams with Chelsea Arsenal Sporting Lisbon, Bayern Munich, Celtic amongst them . 2 groups of 4 ie 6 games with semi and a final .
I am no good at pasting etc but the full article is easy to find . This seems a good idea and our Jong team will gain from the experience.

Koppers the usual CB played a full 90 mins for the A1 on saturday and ended up unused sub. Castillion
is out for the season with a cartlidge injury .He has agreed to sign a new contract to 2013 which is good news.Overtoom is the other regular Jong player but he has been missing with an injury in recent weeks.

Our Jong played a friendly v Utrecht this afternoon and won 3-1 with suk scoring 2, and Sneijder the other.

Daniels and Serero are trialists from Cape Town Ajax. No A1 youths available as the A1 are playing
today.

Next Tuesday is the last league game but given that our 1st play until 15 May and the A1 youths until 14 May I imagine there will be 2 or 3 more friendlies.

NB. Blind came through 45 mins ok and should be fit for Sunday's 1 st team . Boilesen has a groin injury and is doubtful so todays game has been useful for Blind.

Why do I feel this just puts more of our jong talent in the shop front
So it's not bad enough our brightest youngsters get poached after 2-3 yrs in the first team.
Now we might NOT even have any youngsters coming through... .

Nah, the really talented boys normally skip Young Ajax. So it will be second string they're able to scout and they're also 18+ so tougher to get.

Last league game and a 2-1 defeat to AZ , 2 very late goals by Az and Jozefzoon scored our only goal.Ajax finish 6th about 30 popints behind PSV!

According to the experts on ajaxnetwerk V Rhijn is signing a new contract .

V Rhijn has signed anew contract for 1 year to June 2012.

Overtoom released is wanted by Sparta Rotterdam ,Zwolle and now Bayern Munich amatuers whereby he would get a chance to earn a first team squad contract.

With Sergio Padt likely to stay on loan at GAEagles for another year the main Jong goalie this season Marco Bizot is going on loan to Cambuur. This is good news as both are highly rated and playing regularly in the Jupiler league with decent clubs is better than staying as 3rd goalie or even ,in Bizot's case still with the Jong Ajax.

Jordy Deckers the Jong reserve goalie lasts eaon is joining Excelsior for next season.

Certainly a big clear out of last seaons Jong .

Bizot, Bonevacia, Jozefzoon and Padt are all out on loan.

Zeegelaar joins, Burnet, Kappelhof, Ottenhoff and Deckers in finding new clubs.

Overtoom plus Schouw and Decker both loaned out at Almere are yet to find new clubs.

Thus we have left Toivomaki,V Rhijn, Sneijder and Castillion.

Castillion,who was injured for a large part of last season may well start in the Jong but not sure what happens to the other 3. V Rhijn and Sneijder need first team footy and must surely be loaned out as I cannot see them being involved in our first team .Whereas Toivomaki at 20 years of age has the highly rated Ligeon as right back competition in the Jong. Mind the actual Jong squad is not yet known .

Tom Overtoom, a regular Jong last season is joining Sparta Rotterdam for 2 years.

The Jong team have been training for a week and played their first friendly yesterday v Hollandia from Hoorn. They play in the top Sunday amatuer league. Jong won 4-1
with goals from EL Hamdaoui, Aisssati, Forrester and Boere.

El Ham, Boere(Ten Heuvel), Arica(V Dijk)

As the A1 youths do not start training until this week 3 of the subs ie Mols,VDijk and Ten heuvel are from our Saturday amatuers. Sporkslede is an A1 youth but contracted.
Forrester of course on trial having left Aston Villa. I note that VRhijn and Toivomaki are mainly right backs but played centre backs whereas de Kamps is a defensive midfielder playing at left back.

The only currently listed Jong not in action are Koppers and Lukoki. Castillion and Sneijder ,if not in the first team squad will likely be loaned out. Veltman the other Jong is out with a knee injury until end of the year .

I would hope that some A1 players get promoted to this jong squad. Denswil, centre back, Dijks left back, Klaassen and Bouy midfield and de Sa winger are all highly rated youth who surely should see Jong action this season.These 5 are listed as A1 still for the new season but that squad has 22 players which is too many.

Marco Bizot has extended his contract to June 2013 and will be loaned out to Leeuwarden for the season.

Of last seasons jong players released Rick Schouw is about to join Jong NAC for the season. We sent him to Almere on loan in January and he did have a trial with Aron Winter's Toronto recently .

The only released youngster not yet sorted is Jeffrey Decker who was on loan at Almere all last season but did not feature for them . I would assume he is going to an amateur club
