That's terrible news though according to VI today there's a small hope they might be saved if one of the several interested parties comes up with the money by mid-day tommorrow. Here's the story in Dutch http://www.vi.nl/Nieuws-item/201604/Noo ... gsplan.htm

I won't bother posting the translation which was awful, the best bit though was that the author, one Stef de Bont for some reason translates as Stern the Multicoloured :confused.gif:

Apparently if they do go to the wall though it could be good news for Almere City who may be allowed to stay in the Jupiler League.

In England btw, Leigh Genesis, as Leigh RMI a recent ex Conference National side also went bust in the last week. Crowds are obviously smaller at non-league level but proportionately the money involved is much less too so there's not that much difference in terms of percentages - there are an awful lot of English teams at lower league and non-league level in real trouble.

Btw, I checked what happened to Haarlem since they went out of business last year : it finally became Haarlem-Kennemerland, played this season in 2nd class and got relegated...

RBC seem to have survived today at least and the Jupiler League and Administrator are working with the KNVB to try and save them though it's not clear if they'll survive or in what form - got that from various places - as usual the translation was quite poor so I won't post a link.

Official now: RBC Roosendaal have gone out of business. The news just popped up on the website of newspaper de Volkskrant: HERE. They're officially and irreversibly the next FC Haarlem now.

I beg to differ about Maza. If Maza knowingly took a banned substance , innocent until proven guilty IMO, it could be said that he passed the DOPE :oops.gif: test .

The Ruiz deal to Benfica has not materialized and is now out of the picture. However dszudzsak leaving light bulbs is a point of no return now! He might be leaving to an obscure club but they did get a fairly good amount of cash for him.

Schaars leaving to sporting is a win stiaution or Ajax. Az get little money in return to invest on a replacement and are know a weaker team as a result. Light Bulbs don't get their first priority to replace a possibly departing Engelaar, very positive news from my perspective.

spot on that... Although, its a kinda shame that both AZ and PSV are seemingly struggling a bit.

Other than the opportunity to play CL football, moving to one of the big three teams in Portugal is really a lateral move. I don't think the competition over there is any better than in the Eredivisie but maybe the money is. Schaars is not the type of player who would attract attention from any of the really big clubs in Europe and maybe wants to test himself in a different environment.

Clubs from the professional football league that go bankrupt have the right to continue on an amateur level, but RBC Roosendaal can't even find the money to make that happen, which means the club will disappear completely and not even resurface in amateur football.

Almere City, who were relegated from First Division to Top Class, will take RBC's place and stay in the First Division (Jupiler League).

FC Hilversum, who were relegated from Top Class to Hoofdklasse, are to stay in the Top Class because Almere City won't be playing there.

Yes, it appears that Fword's new stadium is in jeopardy. Without that expected income stream, they could be in big trouble.

Its a joke that PSV can go out trying buy players, yet need to be bailed out by the locals.. Shouldnt be allowed no matter what club.

Hector Moreno has been transfered to Espanyol. Az has so far lost a key player in defense, and midfield. If we land Sggthorsonn then the wll have lost a plyer in all their lines, including maybe goalkeeper since their is interest in Romero form other clubs in Italy.

I'm quite the opposite of an economist but I suspect the logic is that the best way for any loans etc to be recovered is for the team to remain successful and for that they need to continue to sign players. There's obviously a balance to be made but this system isn't going to end any time soon.

14 million and they are also close on signing Wijnaldum from Feyenoord for another ~5 million. And last but not least, PSV wants to buy a striker.... El-Hamdaoui is an option....

Luckily for us, PSV does not re-inforce where they should be doing it: goalkeeper and defense.
