Looks like the 02-03 shirt (http://cgi.ebay.com/2002-2003-Ajax-Away ... 1e62aad8d6), hopefully next season's at least has the 3 stars.

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
I think the 2002-2203 was better. The black-white schpitz of this yera's makes it look bad
Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
that shirt brought us luck that time, reaching the quarters in CL. hopefully we live glory days again soon... I kind of like it. the stripes remind me of the argentina one, and of course blue is Greece's colour so combined with the 3rd star I am going to buy it

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
Someone on the Ajaxfans.net forum put up this image of de Jong, Ebecilio, Vertonghen and Sulejmani wearing the new shirt.

There's a better picture of the new shirt here http://www.football-shirts.co.uk/fans/o ... 1112_11174 (complete with picture of all the players we will sell in the Summer and who will never wear it
).
Reminds me more of the early 80's Le Coq Sportif one with TDK sponsor (http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/tea ... s4847.html) rather than the 2002 shirt, I think because of the stripes in the material and the horizontal sponsor.

You're right, much more like the 80's one, forgot about that one.
Here's what they were doing yesterday in Vondelpark (adidas video to launch the new kit):

Great kit . Really like it . It was time to retire my light blue SIKORA
away anyway.

I think we are going to wear the new away kit for the league cup match. I really like the powder blue color, it reminds me of the original jerseys that my hometown American football team used to wear (San Diego Chargers for those of you in the US; though they stole the color combination from UCLA when the team was established in 1960 and located in Los Angeles).

Not sure if anyone is interested, but sportsdirect.com have our new away shirt in all sizes s - xxl for £40.. which is considerably cheaper than the 75Euro on the Ajax site.
They also have some cool accessories on offer... rain coats for £12 (on sale), Hats, bags, scarves, sweat bands, t-shirts etc etc.. all on offer...

The coats and stuff are a bit naf imo. Seen them in Oxford Street (London) branch of Sports Direct. They do the same stuff with either Ajax or AC Milan badges, presumably official but for the UK/Overseas market.afcajax73 schreef: They also have some cool accessories on offer... rain coats for £12 (on sale), Hats, bags, scarves, sweat bands, t-shirts etc etc.. all on offer...

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
So if you had a home shirt, a 2002-2003 ABN AMRO one. What would you choose the 3 star home or away shirt???

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
Me too! Mine arrived at work today, so I will be teaching my last lesson of the day in proud Ajax pale blue!afcajax73 schreef:Ive not seen these up close, only on the website, but i ordered our new away shirt.. :)
Will get my (hopefully) beautiful 3 starred home shirt on my next trip to Amsterdam.

Personally id have both! haha, but ive not seen the home "in the flesh" yet, so im not so sure.. but i would always prefer a home shirt over the away, tends to "last longer" as it doesnt vary much year to year.

You do realise why they're dumping the away kit @ £40?

None of the shirts have ever had the stars already applied, you've always had to add them seperately. The Ajax home page at the moment advertises that the three stars are free with any shirt that you buy.ofey schreef:You do realise why they're dumping the away kit @ £40?

I was just about to post this!...
I think even when you have to pay in the Ajax store for the stars its 5Euro, so still a big saving.

If you do want the stars btw, Subside Sports have them. Quite expensive on their own due to their postage rates but they do sell them.afcajax73 schreef:I was just about to post this!...

The problem you have with the stars, is that once you do get them, you have to get them put on. If you go somewhere like DW/JJB, they wont do you any printing on a shirt unless they themselves sell the shirt, just incase they damage your shirt and cant replace it. :(

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
My home shirt for last season has two stars I bought from Subside Sports and applied myself. You'll be alright as long as you're very careful. Use a normal iron with a white t-shirt/t-cloth over the badges you are ironing and start off at a low temperature and turn it up until it's hot enough.afcajax73 schreef:The problem you have with the stars, is that once you do get them, you have to get them put on. Very important that you use something white, otherwisew the colour might transfer to the shirt.
The only time I had a problem was with player issue Premier League numbers (DJ Campell 39 - aaargh

I suppose I should add the same disclaimer as everyone else, can't be held responsible blah blah blah after I've given this little lesson
