Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
I sure would love long sleeves in the future. I would also like to see the adidas 3 red stripes on top of sleeves go away. One can't expect miracles though.

Has anyone got any ideas on this one? http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/tea ... ?hm=season
One of my favourite sites this - I've told them it's a 93/94 shirt but can't work out about the sponsor and now I'm really curious. I know we've changed sponsor before for one-off games and thought a Japanese team would be a likely candidate for Mitsubushi sponsorship but we didn't play any that season.

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
The sponsor is definitely Mitsubishi. In Japanese and Chinese, the Mitsubishi brand name is literally "Tri-diamond".SE6Ajacied schreef:Has anyone got any ideas on this one? http://www.oldfootballshirts.com/en/tea ... ?hm=season

The Mirage was a subcompact car sold by Mitsubishi between 1978-2002.
In Japan, Mitsubishi Motors started the Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds. So perhaps check if we played Urawa in a friendly back then?

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
"Apparently" this is next season's home shirt.

Looks similar to this year's to me and there's far too much red detailing on the white bits for my liking......

I like the collar!
Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
i love supporting a club which has adopted a jersey design that pretty much never changes. I mean, imagine being a bayern fan. they have a different jersey design every year. try to hang with that. luckily, I can wear my 95 Ajax shirt (albeit having abn amro and umbro on it) and still be cool
Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
IMO it's better than this season's. I lke the collar, and the red centre part which includes the shoulders. Too bad they left those horrible 3 stripes.

The only way those go is if we find a new shirt sponsor!philippe schreef: Too they left those horrible 3 stripes.

Personally I hope both designs are FAKE.
I don't want another shiny jersey.

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
To me the nicest jerseys I've had were:
Home -> 2000-2001 Ed. Our Centenary strip. For me it wins hands down in terms of quality and design.
Away -> This year's.
p.s. Can't find any of those away long sleeves. Hmmm... .

For those who enjoy surprises and risk, the new away shirt can already be purchased. Without knowing what it looks like.

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
lol - with the way Adidas have messed around with the sizes in the last couple of years there's a severe risk it might not actually fit.philippe schreef:For those who enjoy surprises and risk, the new away shirt can already be purchased. Without knowing what it looks like.
Why would anyone buy it this way anyway? You won't actually get it until it's released and they'll make enough for it not to sell out (a limited edition of however many they can sell usually.......).

Re: Ajax jerseys, kit sponsors
Now that's just silly. Who'd buy a kit they can't see?
And using a face, who in all likelihood will NO longer be around to wear it next season to sell it.
