Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
The rumours are correct. Ajax (the board) wants to setup three projectgroups who will investigate the follwing aspects: financial, technical and clubstructure.
And its said that Cruijff wants to lead the technical group.
For the first time he actually wants to be responsible...

I guess this means no Van Gaal, huh?GangstaRiB schreef:The rumours are correct. Ajax (the board) wants to setup three projectgroups who will investigate the follwing aspects: financial, technical and clubstructure.

Nope. You can forget about Van Gaal. He is not going to return to Ajax (ever).aveslacker schreef:I guess this means no Van Gaal, huh?GangstaRiB schreef:The rumours are correct. Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
I wouldn't say that he's never going to return. It's just that he'll only return on his terms, and those terms might never be met by whomever is running Ajax. But there's always a chance.GangstaRiB schreef:Nope. You can forget about Van Gaal. Hmm .... First he'll have to actually join the projectgroup, and then he'll actually need to stay a member for the entire process, then he'll actually have to agree with the recommendations.GangstaRiB schreef:The rumours are correct. Here we go: the official announcement...
http://english.ajax.nl/News/Archive/Art ... boards.htm
I have no clue what this means, exactly. But it sounds more 'solid' than Cruijff's previous return to the club. That was a bit of a joke; this time it looks like people actually gave it some thought.

Good or bad, I still believe that he belongs to Ajax and not barcelona.

Anyway, the problem isn't getting JC to give his opinion, it's a question of whether anyone understands what it means .......

Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
As far as I've understood, the first question the new technical platform (read: JC) has to decide, is if the club structure has to count on a technical manager - who should be a link between the team and the board, working at the same level with the coach (blind?) but leaving the decision to general director van den boog - or instead on a technical director, who would be in a superior, decisional level upon the coach and has power in all technical stuff. in this case the first names have already been spended by some reports today: hiddink, adriaanse, van gaal, arnesen the most quoted. would be nice.

Appie Nouri will forever be remembered for his grace and humanity on and off the pitch!
Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
'War' between Cruijff and our Board. Talks have failed and Cruijff is starting an official procedure to get rid of 'em.
Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
Ajax are listed on the stock exchange as a public company. Are all the shares publicly held? If so, the club must abide by normal corporation rules in The Netherlands and presumably the shareholders can vote the Board out. It would depend on what is in the charter of incorporation.Benji schreef:'War' between Cruijff and our Board. Talks have failed and Cruijff is starting an official procedure to get rid of 'em.

Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
That wont work as 73% of the shares remain with Ajax. The only ones that can vote the board out are the Ajax members (leden).Orange14 schreef:Ajax are listed on the stock exchange as a public company. Are all the shares publicly held? Question... Can it get any WORSE if we support the Cruuyf party?

Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
Much as I dislike the board and its policies, the point that was made about his penchant for picking up and quitting in midstream is a cause for concern.

Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
From what I can read on de Telegraaf website, the Ajax Board did resign tonight. I hope one of our Dutch colleagues can provide further details on what is happening and the future steps to set up a new Board. With all that is going on I hope the team comes out strong on Sunday!

Re: 'J.C.' - The Omnipresent Oracle
I don't know what to tnink? Is this good? It's true, we aren;t going to be champions again, but i liked vd Boog and Coronel. So waht's next? Feyenoord, here we come, or 5 eurofinals agains Barca
