I don't understand how Ajax can take this 'safe' approach in a must-win game. Why not attack and go all out for the win? If you lose, you lose the championship. But at least you would have tried. Now you didn't try, and lose the championship as well.

I dont' think so. If we did not take the "Safe approach", psv would score 3-4 goals. Yeha, we could do something more up front, but luck is crutial part of the game and we haven't any in sunday.
It's too early for judgemnts, still 9 games left. The titel isn't everything, we must think about second place too. If we mist next CL, it would be very bad for the finances.And they are the most important thnig for the clubs today, like it, or not (or at least for everybody except Real and Barca,who are protected from the spanish goverment and can do whatever they want).
psv and twente will loose much more points than us, i'm sure

I understand your logic. I just want to add that the entire argument is diagonally opposed to what Ajax, historically, stands for. Any team can take this timid approach. But, please, not Ajax... We're not playing for leftovers, afraid to miss out. We're AJAX. Somebody wake this club up from this decade-long identity crisis.

Yeah, agree. But football isn't was it was used to be.
