Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
They are not much better off field as I read they are selling 18 year old striker Castaignos to Inter for about 3or 4m euros ie giving away their best young talent for next to nothing.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Not only that but they only get €1M of the fee as some private investors get the other 3/4. It is really a shame how far and fast this team has fallen.SPL schreef:They are not much better off field as I read they are selling 18 year old striker Castaignos to Inter for about 3or 4m euros ie giving away their best young talent for next to nothing.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Twente and PSV both win so we still stand 3rd but drop further behind.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
From the dutch point of view sorry that Castaignos is going as he will just dissappear at Inter and probably wont develop.
Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
quite right. One of our US NT defenders, Oneywu, went to Milan last year and never left the bench (though he did get injured in NT duty) and now is at Twente and has started their last two matches.SPL schreef:From the dutch point of view sorry that Castaignos is going as he will just dissappear at Inter and probably wont develop.

will be interesting to see if he becomes more relaxed if continuing to play LB with Twente

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
That idiot ref reduced Willem to 9 men to help thugs from Eindhoven to win. Nice job.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
Pretty dramatic finish in Eindhoven and some questionable officiating (what else is new in the Eredivisie?) Willem II were down to 10 men at the 72nd minute and then down to 9 men in the 84th minute and held on until just short of 30 seconds left in stoppage time when they conceded the winning goal dropping a heart breaker 2-1. The second yellow on Haliovic was really weak as Toivonen played it for all it was worth and the straight red to Lampi was probably deserved as he kicked out as Dzsudzsaks was passing him. Shame as Willem II defended with everything they had. We just can't catch a break this season.

Minimal contact resulting in a second yellow for the first red cardpaladinby schreef:That idiot ref reduced Willem to 9 men to help thugs from Eindhoven to win. Nice job.
Minimal contact resulting in a straight red for the second sending off
Scandalous!

Maybe it's time to change your avatar.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
I've seen far worse officiating in the league over the years and the KNVB has never once taken action. I don't expect anything to happen as a result of this match either; I just feel bad for Willem II who really played hard under adverse circumstances.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
That was too bad, wasn't it?
Would have been quite something: PSV dropping two points against Willem II, at home...

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
looks like dzsudzsak doesn't want to play for psv anymore and wants to leave for lille. psv do not want to let him go. always a good scenario

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
PSV 0 - ADO 1 We pick up three points on the leaders as the visitors get a goal on a nice counterattack in stoppage time. PSV really miss Affellay.

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
excellent weekend for us in terms of the PSV and Twente danger. Special mention to Groningen who absolutely destroyed Willem II today. They're having a great season

Re: Other Eredivisie Teams
This was a bloody great weekend for Ajax.
On Friday, after Ajax vs De Graafschap, I was feeling a bit miserable: we won, but Ajax were so poor, they looked they didn't believe in it anymore, it was pretty hopeless.
Less than two days later it turnd out it was a perfect weekend for us: Twente dropped two points, PSV lost at home, AZ lost... Excellent stuff. All of a sudden we're only three points from the top.
Also very nice: Feyenoord did not win in Arnhem (1-1), so they stay behind Vitesse. Meanwhile, VVV and Excelsior closed in on them.
It really was great. The only result that was not perfect for us was Groningen vs Willem II, but hey: you can't have it all.
Next weekend will be very interesting: Roda vs Ajax (tough one!) and AZ vs PSV.
K.
