Time to 'up' this one...

2011 was a bizarre year for me. I thought it was a pretty great year: title for Ajax, loads of fun work to do, some fun travels and vacations - and of course the first birthday of my wonderful daughter; I really enjoyed the things that were happening to me. But then, suddenly, my mother was diagnosed with cancer and died a month later, on November 6th.

2011 will forever be 'the year I lost my mum'.

I'm well, by the way. I feel good. The death of my mother hasn't 'paralyzed' me in any way. Life is still great.

If all the people I love can stay alive, I just hope 2012 will be as great as 2011. And oh yeah: I hope the 'war' at Ajax will end.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very, very Happy New Year.

Looking back at 2011 going to Amsterdam back in April ,watching live footy in de Toekomst and the Arena will live with me until next April when I intend to return again. I intend to make a yearly visit in future. Hope the Ajax war will be over by April.

Well 2011 hasn't been great - lost my job, got chickenpox, got burgled, my dad's been sick, I could go on but won't.

The best bit is that my girl is now nearly 4 and it's Christmas time, a wonderful time for a nearly 4 year old.

Have a great day everyone and here's hoping for a wonderful 2012.
