Young Ajax

Tafun Candan , who was released in the summer has joined Dordrect . Jongebloet and Lazic also from our Jong have joined them and both are in their first team. Candan was at Haarlem last season but did not play in their first team. I think he was very lucky to get a contract with Ajax.

The only Jong player released this summer still to get fixed up by a pro club is Shakison , who was offered a contract at Genk in Belgium .Once he gets fixed up I can stop posting about last seaons players.

not a good result as this was the best of our young reserves except V Rhijn who was unused sub and Castillion still injured.

I expect players like Ooijer to play the odd game as they are 1st team squad members who will need match practice and even Mido will likely play plus Lindgren and Atouba when fit .
However until the Christmas break Blind Donald Bodul and Sno will feature regularly as they are unlikely to get any playing time for the 1st . As I said last week these 4 should not be playing Jong games anymore and the 3 youngsters should all be out on loan . So this season will be a bit like last
and tonight Ebecilio, Schouw, V d Meulen and Sneijder did not play .

No one gains out of this the last 4 mentioned do not get any playing time and 4 others who are all too good for this level get to play and will gain nothing as far as learning .

I will try not to moan any more as this senario will happen every week .

Nb I have altered my original as Ozbiliz was a sub .

Randel Shakison, released from our Jong of last season has signed a 1 year contract with an option at Fortuna Sittard . All those released from last seaons Jong team have now signed for other pro clubs.

No idea what has become of Martina he was reported to have a long term injury.

Tonights Jong game resulted in an easy 5-0 win for Ajax .Ebecilio 2, Ozbiliz 2, and Overtoom scored.

Although Blind, Donald and Bodul should be out on loan having outgrown reserve football this was a real Jong team and no one is older than 21 and Bodul was the only player who is not a local .
Boilesen who has been playing this season turned out for the A1 on Saturday and Castillion is still out with along term injury .

Clearly having 2 experienced players in defence did not make any difference.

We have now won 2 and lost 4 but have played mainly youngsters. Even if we struggle this season I think it is important that the actual Jong squad get games.

Ajax need to decide which of these youngsters have a future and some of them will need to go out on loan after Christmas so A1 talent like Bouy Klassen Koppers Ligeon and Lukoki get playing time .

we lost 2-1, Donald , a sub scored a late goal and V Rhijn was also red carded . No other details of subs or report on the official site as yet but with 3 wins and 5 defeats they are nearer the bottom of the league. PSV had a lot more experienced players .

I still think that mainly real Jong squad players should be used and this is part of their learning . It could be along winter for them if they keep losing though .

just to conclude that Lodeiro played 45 mins tonight , Donald took over from him . Bodul for Suk and Ebecilio for Zeegelaar were the other subs . Sneijder is shown as a straight red where as V Rhijn 2 yellows.

Meant to post last week Ajax were talking contract extensions with Jozefzoon ,Bonevacia, Ebecilio and Sneijder ,all ceasing 2011.There is talk that Sneijder may go on loan .
In addition they want to extend Boileson whose contract runs to 2013 and also A1 youth Ouasim Bouy ,who has made his debut for the Jong ,contract runs to 2012 although not being 18 until next June wont get a full contract until then ie limited salary until 18.

After January when Blind Donald and Bodul go out on loan and possibly 2nd year Jong like Zeegelaar Ozbiliz,Kappelhof and Overtoom also go on loan I would expect the Jong team to give games to Bouy,Klaassen, Denswil, Koppers and Ligeon.

If you watch the video that Cedric posted with Rik Van Den Boog, this is in accord with the new approach by the Ajax staff to get the youth players better and faster experience. In the long run this will help the club.

Atouba made his come back after 11months injured it lasted 30 mins and he wont be able to play for the next 2weeks as he was sentoff!!!
