Having beaten PSV 3-2 on Saturday ,a good result ,our u19 played Legia at home today in the U19 CL .After a 4-1 win in Poland we lost 2-0 and following the tweets on Ajax showtime again we were woeful and lucky they did not score 4 and put us out. Probably didn't help that Bakboord and Kemper 2 good and regular defenders were rested and 2 younger kids replaced them . The No1 goalie El Maach also rested. Sierhuis played but did little.

We seem to have a lot of talent in the U15 and U16 age groups. Last weekend our U15 won an International club tournament in Germany and Naci Unuvar scoring 26 goals in all.He is the best in this age group but his parents are evidently happy for him to stay in Ajax .He is 16 in 2019.

I notice the Oranje U15 play England in a couple of weeks have 9 Ajax in the squad. Also last weekend Oranje U16 played in Florida USA ,beat USA and England but lost to Brazil. 8 Ajax used.

Ryan Gravenberch the best U16 and already going to Raiola so we may still lose him and 1 or 2 others from this U16 next summer . But when UK leaves EU in March 2019 transferring of kids aged 16 should end as FIFA rules will apply.

In the next round of the EL u19 we play PSG at home,just the one game. We then go through to the final 16 which is ko.

U17 v Feyenoord U17 is live on Youtube under AFC AJAX .HT and we lead 2-0 .I turned on after25 mins just missed our 1st goal but we then scored a 2nd Brobbey scored both .A good clear picture coming from Ajax TV

A very easy 5-0 win by our U17.I enjoyed watching them ,Brobbey with 2 goals was replaced by a Hansen and he scored 2,Gravenberch the other. Brobbey and Gravenberch ,still 15, look a lot older and our big powerfully built lads.

Well I am off to watch my local team Worthing shortly but that was a great start to the footballing day.

U19's did dreadful ,lost 4-2 at home to Emmen in the U19 cup.Emmen are a 2nd league U19 team and Ajax are the best in Holland

I watched the game (the "mini classic" as it was billed at) as it came on in the late afternoon where I am. I cast the youtube stream onto my TV for a perfect, large clear picture. Fun game to watch -- in some ways it looked like a high school game (passing and ball control, mostly), but in others they were pretty impressive for young teenage kids.

I only saw highlights of the U19 game vs. Emmen, but from them I don't think the final score was indicative of the game. Their first goal happened before our guys woke up to the fact that the game was on, and the second was bad luck on a hand ball call and resulting penalty. The highlights showed that especially toward the end of the game we had a number of really good chances to score that didn't materialize.

Agree rjf1 about U19 .Some sloppy defending for 3 goals and a bit harsh for their penalty and their 4th. We had some chances by the looks of the highlights. We did put out our reserve defence.Botman Bakboord and Kemper our 3 top defenders, and Bakker now in Jong.

Currently playing PSG in the CL u19,cannot find a stream.0-0 after 30mins .Game at De Toekomst and winner goes through.

Oh dear Sierhuis missed a penalty and we seem to have had a few chances .10 mins left ,if we dont score its penalties so thats the end of that.

NB finished 0-0 after 90 mins ,we evidently dominated the match so certain to lose on pens. Like England I never expect Holland or any Ajax side to win a penalty shoot out.

Lost 4-2 on penalties. Heitinga getting the blame picking a very moderate player like de Wit and 15 year old Gravenberch leaving Pasquali unused and Jensen played 10 mins. These are their 2 most creative players .Sierhuis missed a penalty in normal time so we cannot complain.Penalty shoot out is something Ajax doesn't do .

Yes, they are out 2-4 on PKs!!! Ugh, another run stifled by a big spending club.

I said Ajax and Holland dont do penalties but yesterday in a friendly tournament Holland's U16 beat Germany on a penalty shootout .5 Ajax played and scored some of the penalties.And the Dutch finished with 10 men.

Our penalty shoot out v PSG was dreadful so maybe our 16 year olds need to show the u19's how to do it.

Not to worry - by the time our under 16s become under 19s, they will have learned how to not win penalty shootouts.

U19 's doing badly at present. Having hardly dropped a point in the 1st half of the season they have now gone 4 games without a win.

A 4-2 cup defeat by lower league Emmen ,last Saturday a 1-1 v Vitesse in the league,mid week penalties defeat to PSG. Today a 0-0 draw in the league at PSV.

Reading the comments on Ajax showtime it seems today like PSG game we played a lot of long balls and the fans clearly want Heitinga out.

Our U19's seems to be about results ,winning the league and qualifying for the U19CL, rather than individual improvements. Comments today Jensen is too lightweight yet we paid 3.5m for him and now a 5 year contract.!

We do have a lot of talent aged 15 and 16 ,and all Dutch but our U19 is filled with foreign talent who may not be that special.

Nb. Normal service yesterday the Dutch U17 ,with 5 Ajax ,lost a friendly to Germany 1-0

I should not have praised Dutch U16 winning v Germany on pens. Its a 4 nation competition and since then they have drawn 1-1 with Portugal and 1-1 with Italy but in both games lost on penalties. 7 Ajax played v Portugal and all 8 v Italy

U17 playing the same 3 sides and starting with a 1-0 loss to Germany beat Portugal 2-0 . 6 out of 7 Ajax in total have played in these 2 games .

With 8 Ajax in U16 and 7 in U17 we do seem to have a lot of talent coming through.

Got home to watch the 2nd half . We were 2-1 down at HT ,Pereira scored first then they got 2. A better 2nd half and Ylatupa set up Lang for a nice goal on 62 mins and then 4 mins later put the ball in the box for Ekkelenkamp to make it 3-2 and it stayed at that score.

No Ajax player stood out although Gravenberch at 15 looks a good player and a possible first teamer ,if he stays.

Nice to see our U19 but no idea why Jensen did not get off the bench . I understand Pasquali the other quality midfielder was sick.

Orange and the other Americans on here probably know Dest the right back plays for USA U17. Has a Dutch and American parent.He looks a lively full back and has only just become a regular as Bakboord ,the main RB,is out long term injury.

I watched the game via YouTube. The defense was a shambles on the two Feyenoord goals. Both times long balls - one from a long throw in - came in to the box and our defenders seemed to just stand there watching it bounce around. Otherwise, we played ok, but as you say, no one seemed to stand out.

Would point out are defence were mainly 16 and 17 .Only Boy Kemper , coming up 19 is an older U19.

We have a few OS at this age group but not much talent.I wonder if the OS are just padding and are any of them real talents?

The best talents in the youth are all 14 ,15 and 16 ie Gravenberch 15 ,Brobbey only just 16 playing already at U19 level.

Before he leaves ,Overmars hopefully will sort out contracts for many talented kids ,some coming up 16.

An article today from Denzell Gravenberch,now at Roselare in Belgium, about his brother Ryan's future. He advises Ryan to stay and their parents want the same.There is a quote from Ryan and clearly seems he will be signing for us when 16,in May.

He is an attacking midfielder who already plays for our U19 and the biggest talent of those 16 this year.

Jep more kids are taking the advise to sign as a 16 years old.

Don't expect Overmars to leave. Also he does not yet have the ambition to join the Arsenal board.
Also Bergkamp has refused an offer to sign in London. In court he will start a battle against the Ajax directors to get his job back.

About time Utrecht was banned from playing any of our teams. 5 points v our 1st ,probably the difference when PSV win the title. Jong Utrecht ,bottom of the league with only 4 wins, but 2 vJong Ajax. Those will again cost us the title.

Today our u19 drew 3-3 with Utrecht who got their 3rd in the last min of injury time. The goal was disputed as Ajax claimed it did not cross the line , it came from a disputed corner! PSV U19 a point behind and a game in hand .That goal will again probably cost the U19 of the title and with it qualification to U19 CL next season.U 19's last game of the season at Utrecht of course.If they haven't lost the title already by then they will do that day.

Basically ban Utrecht , we just never beat them . They are crap against everyone else but just save themselves for us.

PS Think the ref and linesmen were to blame today though!

I still have bad dreams of the match where Vermeer cocked up big time. It was one of the worst performances by a keeper I ever saw.

BTW, PSV won easily today over VVV
