Yeah 50 million is to much for a team to pass by.....and at best Ajax will get 2 players not 6, over the years ajax has not really bought a lot of players in winter....the last two have been strikers (Charisteas and Huntelaar). I recall that at one time Musampa was really on fire in spain but then again so were at some poiunt Urzais and Luque so......

Dont expect by any means a shopping spree by Ajax....even though they really really need one.

It's official, Perez is back.

This is weird. He was doing a good campaign in psv right? I'm surprised they let him go that easily. Well, good news for us. I still don't understand how Ten Cate let him go at the beginning of the season. Now we need to strenghten our defense and I still believe we need to get someone else in the midfield. Probably a new center forward too.

I've long wondered if HtC's dislike for Perez stemmed from that unfortunate incident when Perez called the linesman a kankerneger. I could see HtC taking that personally and carrying a grudge over it.

The question is, where will he fit in? Will he play in Sneijder's position?

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is a little weird. I also think we should have never let him go over the summer. I think it will strengthen the team, but I can't see why PSV would let him go to Ajax, and why he would even really want to come back.

I also can't see why he's a priority of strengthening the back line, but what else is new?

The problem is the ego - I cant see him, Suarez and Luque play well together - Those 3 have more ego than all Barcelona team

From a football point of view I suppose I'm glad he's back but on a personal level I'm not so happy.

I think overall I'm happy he'd gone - the man just didn't seem to show enough remorse for my liking for what he said.

He should get us some goals anyway. I missed the VVV game yesterday as was away for a mini new year break but I got the result and taped the game repeat today - not sure when I'll watch it though...........

Dont rush to watch the VVV game uninspired sums it up.

Well, I've just watched the first half only, then my other half asked why we were watching football saying it was boring and I had to agree with her so I switched it off - depressing would be a better word than boring though.

I thought de Jong looked good from what I saw and was very impressed by one of the goals (VVV's!).

Perhaps if I'm feeling masochistic later I'll watch the second half as well.

The only reason i can think of why Kenneth came back would have to be some sort of clause in his contract that would allow him to come back to Ajax. Very Very strange....what do the PSV fans say about this ????

Perez coming back is strange. Other than a clause in his contract, here are some possible reasons:

1) PSV is making room for a new signing or a Chelsea Loaner
2) Perez never wanted to leave Ajax in the first place
3) Maduro going the other way?

Anyways, Perez helps but keep going van Geel!

The court is in session and I must say from the opening remarks (the signing of Perez) the judge is not that impressed with the proceedings so far.

Perez is ok and better than anyone that we have on our books at the moment to play number 10 but if this type of signing is the standard that we are looking at then we will need devine intervention in every game to assist us in getting us back to the top.

Oh I also thought that we needed a defender or two rather than a number 10.

Plus a few more pluses etc etc. But what it really needs is the new permanent coach brought in now as I have the feeling that Koster is not the person to win us the title.

We knew that all along, didn't we?

Everybody admitted that when he left. Van Geel, Perez himself. There was no future for him under HTC, and being a 33 year-old he didn't want to sit down on the bench and wait patiently. That's why he left.

But then HTC f*cked off. This doesn't really surprise me. That is: it doesn't surprise me that Ajax wanted him back and it doesn't surprise that Perez was up for a comeback. It does surprise me that PSV were willing to co-operate, as I said before.

I think it was around 1.8M Euros for both according to Ajax Netwerk. That should even out the transfer and not impact the surplus from our other sales in signing some quality defenders this winter
