I wish I believed in HTC.

My hopes are on "lucky Ajax" now. :laughing.gif:

Lol watching these highlights makes me laugh. And it's a pathetic laugh. It's practically impossible to miss those kind of chances...
I agree... Momma told me there'll be days like this...

What a piss poor attempt to get into the CL proper!
The term "couldn't punch a hole out of a paper bag" springs to mind!
They had the creativity of a stale loaf of bread....even the rain didn't liven them up!
Maybe Mr Suarez should be given some shooting practice...! He missed 2 sitters and another which a a 7.5m euro striker should score with in his sleep! By the way...magnificent dive for the penalty..pity Huntelaar decided to dig up half of the penalty area as he took the kick!
Was it a wasted visit to Amsterdam? I'm not sure....but if someone can be found to play at No 10 ASAP, there's still a chance in the CL. Slavia don't score goals..so let's pack the team with people who shoot on sight..we need 2 goals in Prague...
Come on Ten Cate...Kick 'em up the arse and get them playing! It can be done....

100% correct. If Ajax fail to qualify for the Champions League and don't win the title, HTC's contract will sure as hell not be extended. Sure thing. I just don't see the point of firing him immediately, if we don't qualify.

You're a bit late coming to the table, Ayman. However, I promise I'll save you some pickings.
Thats because I was at the de hems in London with SE6 Ajacied
I was refering to your desire to dine on the managerial corpse of HTC. Myself and quite a few others have already booked our places at the table, but you are more than welcome to join us. :welcome: :666.gif:

Did anyone else notice Suarez all happy and cheerful when he got the penalty?

The biggest weak point from Ajax, along with poor finishing, were the first touches. Ajax players would tap the ball 3 metres away from them allowing time for Praag to come. The poor touches were also the reason of the poor finishing I thought (KJH, Suarez, and Urzaiz)

I must admit I don't think Urzaiz was on long enough to make much of a difference - didn't see him get chances let alone miss anything glaring (or did I have Fruli beer-goggles by that time?).

Stelling: 71% Ajax kan Champions League wel vergeten
Weinig vertrouwen in Ajax

my heart tells me that the 29% others will be rewarded

And also the reason why Prague got that penalty! Because some payers don't have any decent technique... It hurts my eyes and my heart when I see Colin and even Heitinga stumble over the ball....

Last night was crap but we must wait for the second leg before we can judge anything. 2 league games to come and KJH might get some scoring chances and put them away.

Big worry is that we have lost our best player and we are likely to pay over the odds for some non descript Spaniard.

If we do get knocked out in 2 weeks time then HTC will ony keep his job by winning the title. His signings so far do not give me confidence. I was talking to a mate who supports Norwich,he could not believe a very average player like Colin is in our lineup.

I think it's useless to discuss what will happen to Ten Cate. His contract ends at the end of the season, and I do think it's him who doesn't want to continue. If I remember well, VI said he refused an extentsion for one year at the end of last season, and he clearly stated when he signed at Ajax that after 2 years he would stop with football.

Whoops.Maybe the Falkirk result wasnt just an off day after all.Perhaps we would have been better off keeping Babel and offloading KJH.......that penalty miss was shocking, and he was missing for most of the match as he seems to have been so far this season. All he does is wait in the area for a pass thats never coming,he needs to get involved in games more.Come on Ajax........we need a really big performance in Prague.

Didn't see last night's game but v A Madrid and Arsenal KJH got little to no service. He will start scoring soon. A hattrick in Prague will do very well.

Has Ten Cate had a fall out with the Ajax fans? Cos I know many Barca fans miss him being coach (not manager) and would take him with open arms. I think the same may be said about the Barca management. Why is it that you think he is not good enough?
