And yes refs are people and make mistakes. That's the spirit of the game according to some unrespected gentlemen who are not allowing video reviews of the goals.

This is a fucking disgrace. Sure, a mistake is common. But the guts to disallow 2 goals!!!

that was hardly our fault... the fault of ours was not beating lyon one of those times we outplayed them

I was writing the same. ref in a'dam and the game in zagreb are just illegal. fuck all of them. never felt so bad for "sports" in my entire life. what a complete shit. we didn't deserve this. this is not sport, 2nd half was not a football game anymore thanks to this f'kin portuguese.

Some Ajax players stepped up today and some others did not. Some are good enough to play for this team and some are not. Without a striker this team cannot score goals against top competition. Starting five midfielders and a player who can only run 10 meters before stopping to catch his breath will not lead to success. I guess the team has to move forward and play in the Europa League though given the performance of the linesman, I wish they could boycott it. Didn't see the two cards on the Leko of Dinamo so it's hard to figure out whether there really was a conspiracy today.

Vermeer - made one good save and kicked poorly today; can't find much to fault him on any of the goals. Anita and van der Wiel were OK, both got forward well but really didn't create much other than one good low cross by van der Wiel (unfortunately Ebecilio was cutting into the box rather than staying a little wider and wasn't where the ball was. Blind needs to leave as soon as possible. Vertonghen did well. Janssen took free kicks again. Enoh did well today both defensively and moving forward. Eriksen must really be frustrated at this point realizing that the players around him are just not up to his caliber. Sulejmani was decent and Ebecilio was not. Lodeiro gave his all but isn't a striker. Klaasen can be excused the miskick when he was open as he just came on the field. Bulykin did little when he came on.

This goes to show that even a 7 goal differential cannot stand up. Perhaps it's better this way as they need to get players back healthy and focus on the Eredivisie campaign. One hopes that the linesman is suspended by UEFA.

and indeed ajax will be unseeded in the round of 32 draw, so you can expect manU or city....

I was very pleased with Ajax today. Some players failed, but we should seek some replacement for them.

Enoh played one of the better games of his career. Bulykin should probably start. Lodeiro was not that bad and scored a goal.

With that kind of attitude we should win every Eredivisie game by wide margin but.... we never have it there.

I don't care about Europa League for now. May be after emotions settle down I will.

So painful, this... So unfair...

Real Madrid leave some of their stars at home, but still field 8 internationals. We miss half our team, play well, fight bravely, score two goals that should have stood... but didn't. The half-time score should have been 2-2. Period.

I don't think Lyon would have started to fly like they did, had the half-time score in Amsterdam been 2-2...

We'll never know.

I didn't get to see the match. Does anyone know of any links that show replays of the disallowed goals? I've watched the highlights, but they only contain Madrid's goals and not Ajax's disallowed goals, and I want to judge how bad those calls were.

A first half red card and 7-1 in Zagreb certainly seems a little fishy. (Link to video of the Zagreb player winking and smiling to Lyon after a Lyon goal?)
