Although only an A1 player Jordi Brouwer has signed a 4.5 year contract for Liverpool.He is the leading scorer in our A1 team. I note his only appearance for our reserves this season was as a sub. He is evidently 19 next month and therefore will finish with the youths this season and chances are we were not talking about a contract.(Poepon , only a month or 2 older is the main striker in our reserves so quess Brouwer's chances are limited this season !!)

One cannot blame this lad for leaving.At best he would only get a 2 year contract with Ajax .

With about 60 kids aged 17 to 19 covering our B1 A2 A1 teams they are not all going to get chances but strikers do not grow on trees. This lad scored plenty for our youth we do not rate him enough but Liverpool do !!!! Very strange.( Ajax youth system is still highly rated and I quess every kid in it is looked upon as talent by the rest of Europe)

According to spanish AS, Celta Vigo is interested in Markus Rosenberg. But the transfer probably will not be complete, because Celta wants him on loan, and Ajax would like to sell him.

I hear Rosales is moving to River Plate, can anyone confirm this? Is he moving on loan or are we getting cash for him?

we are selling him, but not sure if we are selling 50% or 100% of the transfer rights... so I'm waiting for the official ajax announcement!

Rosales to River Plate... Media in Argentina confirm it. No confirmation in Holland, so far (and definitely not from Ajax). Ajax USA will run it as news as soon as Ajax have confirmed the transfer.

This can happen. Ajax can not offer contracts to busloads of youth players. That is simply impossible. Brouwer demanded a contract, Ajax thought about it and they decided that he was not (yet) ready for that. Brouwer then decided to leave. Well, if that's how he feels about his club - too bad. You can't keep 'em all.

If he does not want to sign a contract extension and Arsenal want to pay about £ 10m I would take the money. He can then join the other9/ 10 forwards they have.(I said a few weeks ago when KJH was the rumour that Arsenal play 4.4.2
or 4.5.1 and they have about 6 quality forwards already plus about 3 young strikers on loan.) If Babel wants to go let him piss off and we take the money.

PS If he signs an extension with a minimum fee clause I cannot believe that would kick in before 2008!!

Having lost about half our squad last summer I had thought we would only lose one or 2 this summer!!

Today's rumour is De Mul to Sevilla. His contract expires 2008 and there has been no mention of any talks so far so this could happen!!

Grygera,Lindenbergh, Roger( probably as he is never fit long enough)Vermeer (on loan) and Maduro are all likely to leave and Mitea also as he is fit but not getting any playing time.Thats 6 with only the last 2 named fetching money.

Sneijder and KJH will both likely go and if De Mul goes that is 9 out of our 22 squad. Rumours that Heitinga and Babel will go are probably unlikely for another year as they both recently signed extensions and I would imagine that we will keep Urby for another year(rumour today that Roma want him for £5m)

I really do not believe every rumour but at best we will lose about 8/9 first teamers and with Leonardo not likely to play before next Jan / Feb we will
have to do some rebuilding.

I think only either Huntelaar or Sneijder will go, not both. Further more, Ajax should definitely be able to find better players than Lindenbergh, Roger, Maduro, Mitea and even De Mul.

Yea, I'd put money on him too. Too bad. He has started to show major improvements in the past few games. It would have been nice to see him play like that an entire season.

But if Deco stays at Barcelona and they win the title/double this year which would save Rijkaards job, I doubt Sneijder would want to be a bencher. If Ajax do well this season, I hope every (key) player stays, because then I would have a good feeling about Ajax in the CL next year.

There has been talk of Sneijder's price being about £8m!! Has any maximum been set in his contract ie Babel has had amax of about £7M put in .

I only ask as he must be worth at least double that ie £15M

It might have been panic time for us if it were a couple of years back but ever since Van Geel took over im not really worried, the dude really knows how to play his cards and i have yet too see a bad deal done by him. The Zlatan to juve for a slice off pizza are over thank god.

An article today states that Stanton Lewis the young South African(in our reserves) is leaving and had a trial with Club Brugge. I only mention this as he was supposed to have signed to 2011 !!

Yeah, that's a bit odd. I also thought that Stanton Lewis had just signed a contract... I guess that wasn't true then.

More news: Derk Boerrigter, who is currently loaned out to FC Haarlem, will not return to Ajax. His contract will expire in the summer and Ajax won't renew it. I've seen Boerrigter in action a few times and, to be quite honest, I thought he was pretty spectacular in all of those matches. But I'm sure the club know what they're doing.

I've read that good old Danny Blind wants to bring Boerrigter to Sparta (with Martina if I remenber well). We'll see what happens but it wouldn't be really surprising if it was true.

Edit: I'm probably wrong : according to Highlow, Blind would like to get Martina and Timisela...

According to Vi.nl, Blind would like to sign Boerrigter and Timisela. It won't suprise me when Sparta tries to sign Krohn-Dehli as well.
