Looks like it ended 1-1. I got home just in time to watch the last minute of the match.

1-1 with subs V d Meulen for Tainio and Suk for Bodul . I watched most of the second half but nothing really exciting . No commentary and only 1 camera so it was a bit difficult to see some of the action on the far side but having the list of players I did for most of the time know who had the ball .Atouba played his first 90 mins for a year and did ok . Congratulations to NEC supporters for putting this on .

Pity Ajax could not do something like this after all to see the highlights of Jong Ajax now you have to pay money to watch Ajax Tv and thats no use to us outside Netherlands.

You didn't miss anything. It was a very poor performance from both sides. Only van Rhyn, Jozefzoon did some good work for the team.
Atouba was attending for 90 minutes on the pitch. But he didn't show any skill what should give you the feeling that he will replace Anita in the coming months.

Cheers, from what I saw Van Rhijn and Jozefzoon did good work over on the right ,they were furthest from the camera in the 2nd half . Atouba I agree did indeed not look like he is about to play for the first team any time soon.What was your impression of young Sneijder?

The Jong are due to play Man City reserves on Thursday so some of the other youngsters may get a game although I hope Bonevacia plays for the first team.

Rodney Sneijder isn't that good. It's ridiculous to compare him with his brother as he is not double footed. He has a strong shot, but got difficulties to find the open spaces on the side (crosspass to the wingers or a pass trough). I have got the feeling that he is only looking for the pass through to the middle. But comparing with the other midfielders he brings a lot more creativity into the game. But I think Bouy and Klaassen a more talented players.

Jong Ajax drew 1-1 v Man City reserves today . There is talk of a European cup for Reserve teams and this was a first game with a view to this .

Toivomaki is the young Finnish right back here on trial from Lahti,Litmanen's club. Mayele is aNigerian midfielder on trial who scored the only goal .No details of where he comes from . Kappelhof was sent off after 60 mins and gave away the penalty which was Man City's only goal.

Report states Mayele is not good enough and Ajax are not sure on Toivomaki.
Bonevacia was described by someone who was at the game as being the best player on the field. I do hope he signs an extension to his contract even though he is only 5th best defensive midfielder at present.

The Jong lost 3-1 in the cup to Jong Fword. Sneijder scored our goal.

Lukoki is in the A1 and is still not contracted, I mentioned last week that ADO want him and we should give him a contract asap. Of the unused subs was Veltman , another A1 without a contract but a defender .

NB. Missing players , Jozefzoon and Blind are on Dutch U21 duty, I assume Kappelhof is suspended after his red card last week and Ebecilio and Zeegelaar must be injured as neither were subs . Boilesen has been out injured recently and played 45 mins for the A1 on Saturday .

Jong playing Twente at the moment and we are 1-0 up at Ht Sneijder scored a penalty.

Apart from Atouba ,who is gaining match fitness after a year out , we have a real young team with an A1 youth who is not contracted ie Lukoki.

Jozefzoon is to have an operation this week on his knee following his brief debut for the Dutch U 21 last week. He is to be out for a few weeks . Castillion is back in training after a long injury , out since last February .

A good win final score 4-0 Sneijder scored 2 goals and Bonevacia and Suk one each . Suk was sub for Lukoki after 63mins . Other subs were Burnet for Atouba after 72 and Schouw for Ebecilio 80 mins. I note Klaassen the young A1 talent who has already appeared for the Jong was an unused sub hope he soon gets some games

Playing AZ away and it is now Ht and Ajax are 3-1 up goals from Zeegelaar, Ebecilio and Bodul .

Jong Ajax won 4-2 at Az Ebecilio scored the 4th goal and his second . Zeegelaar and Bodul the others .

ours was the only game played tonight and we have gone from 8th to 3rd place but still 11 points behind the leaders PSV with 5 other teams just behind us .

Someone asked last week if Suk was playing much , well tonight he was sub for Bodul after 78 mins so still not much playing time for him . Only other sub was V d Meulen for V Rhijn after 25 mins so must be an injury . No Lukoki though .

Do we know when Boileson is expected back? I've also read that Castillion is now back in training! Things are looking up and as long as we continue to play the young ones, you will get no complaint from me (though it would be nice to catch up to PSV).

Boilesen has played for the A1 youth the last 3 weekends although he only played 45 mins last Saturday .He has had some injuries since joining Ajax so they may be nursing him a bit slower.
Castillion was pictured in training about a week ago .Nothing reported on him. There are only 2 Jong fixtures left before the winter break so Castillion may not play before the break.

We may be along way off PSV in the table but most games there is usually a minimum 9 starters aged 21 or under . I would expect some players to be loaned out in January and thus more players from the A1 getting games .

Final score was 1-1 with Sneijder the only goal . Lukoki was a sub for Zeegelaar for about the last 20 mins but no details as to whether Castillion came on .

Just to add from last Monday's Jong game that Castillion was not used as a sub but is clearly nearing full fitness.

Today at first team training Ebecilio and Sneijder were present to get experience . Yes Frank de Boer has arrived.If he stays in charge I think more of our youth will get chances .

Last Jong game of the year v Helmond tomorrow .

Playing Helmond at present and 0-0 at HT. When you see the players you will know why I am calling this the reserves

no idea who the subs are and hope Bonevacia has a minor injury as he should always start and should be on the first team bench instead of Tainio. I understand Mido and Verhoeven getting playing time but Atouba and Tainio no way . Hope both leave next month .
