I will install firefox and follow the advice on this page.
No problems. Here is the direct links to Firefox:

and the no-script add-on:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722
There was an article I noticed from wired.com today about a site that has a banner ad, and how just by moving the cursor over it, it installed malicious code. The interesting thing was they wrote:
...Thankfully, users running Firefox with the No Script extension are immune to the attack, lending further credence to the idea that surfing the 'net with Internet Explorer is like driving without a seat belt on ... through a hurricane...

Sunday, April 13 on Setanta US at 05:00 pm Eastern: PSV vs. FC Twente
My kids made up a song for the occasion: "FC Twente, you're excellent-ay!" Hopefully it brings strength to our noble friends in Enschede.
We'll be watching.

For some reason I never posted this on Ajax Talk before...
All the Ajax TV video reports are now available on You Tube as well. Ajax have their own You Tiube channel, which you'll find at this URL:
http://www.youtube.com/user/ajax
Add it to your bookmarks and you'll never have to miss a single goal again. There are video reports of every pre-season friendly and every training day.
By the way: Saturday's Jaap Stam match in Zwolle will be shown live on SBS6 in The Netherlands (kick-off 20:30 CET), for those who can receive it.

As well as being on Sky Sports 2 the Arsenal game tomorrow night will also be shown (not live) on Arsenal TV (which I've got free with my Setanta Sports package

) at 12.00 midnight. It's also on the internet here
http://tv.arsenal.com/ but I think you'll have to pay £3.99 to subscribe for a month to watch it.
And for those who can understand Italian it looks like you can get commentary at least on the Inter Milan game here
http://www.inter.it/en/speciali/streaming/. I couldn't find a video link on their site and will probably just find a pub to watch it in (can't be bothered to sign up to Sky for a month if I can see the Arsenal game for free anyway)

Just to follow on from my last post. I realised that I hadn't checked for coverage on Ajax.nl so I looked and found that the games are being shown in NL on SBS6 TV. I couldn't work out whether they were also showing the games on the internet but I did find this
http://www.sbs6.nl/web/show/id=136046/langid=43 - about the recent open day but including footage from some of the recent pre-season games (including the Jaap Stam game which I hadn't seen before).
Edit, scrolling down the same internet page, you can also watch highlights of the Jaap Stam game....

Hi guys. I was kicked off these boards, most likely due to inactivity (what a slacker), but now I'm back. And I bring bad news. Setanta US has dropped Eredivisie for the upcoming season (and I've obviously dropped Setanta from my cable package). So, North American Ajacied are screwed again, and will have to start watching streamed internet soccer once again...

That's bad news Jim. Fortunately from what I can make out on the website (no listings for the end of August but the various leagues are advertised) Setanta UK will still be showing Eredivisie so if the company still hold the rights that should be positive for you and they might start the show up again......

Too bad GolTV doesn't have the interest. They lost Serie A to Fox Soccer Channel last year and now have only La Liga and the Bundesliga during the Euro Season. I imagine that the Eredivie rights would not be too expensive. I think however their principal focus is on leagues from Spanish speaking countries (other than the Bundesliga)

Maybe it was because you have changed your email? I cannot believe it is because of inactivity, namely.

Signed up today for the new Eredivisie live package available on UPC - all games live for 5 eur a month, not a bad deal.
Until I sat now and watched the introduction programme and they had a brief introduction on the presenting team.
Well feck me - guess who is part of the presentation team - Gary fuckin Lineker - jeez its bad enough having to suffer him on Match of the Day back home as well as see his ugly mug presenting golf (wtf he knows about golf i will never know) but now I have to suffer him on the official Eredivisie package.
Somebody up there is surely playing a joke -wtf is his connection whatsoever to Dutch football

I'd love to see someone offer a similar package just for Internet streams world-wide. It looks like Eredivisie Live does stream, but only to the Netherlands. Hopefully one of the Euro leagues will do it in the next couple years. The Olympics broadcaster in the US (NBC) had pretty much everything available free streaming on the web, and I have to say I was pretty impressed with the quality and how well it just worked.
Considering how big P2P programs are for many of us watching the games, and how much that has grown over the last few years, I think it would be a great idea to have an official provider. I know I'd pay for it (I've been paying for Setanta Broadband, pretty much just for the almost non-existent Eredivisie coverage they did have) and it would give the league more revenue.

OK, so some good news of sorts. Setanta 2 in the UK are showing the Utrecht/PSV game at 23.00 tonight. I'd have prefered the Ajax game (despite the result) but this is a good start. From memory the last two seasons when they've had the Eredivisie rights we've had to wait a while for the first game.
"Highlights" are on Wednesday night......

As well as the Roda game on Sunday we also have England v Holland Under 19's live tomorrow night. I don't follow either team at this level but I'll try and catch the game if I can.
Interesting btw that Setanta are not exactly popular in the UK at the moment. They had live TV rights to the England, Scotland and Northern Ireland games at the weekend and refused to let anyone else show highlights of the England game at least (which are normally on the BBC). The traveling England fans were singing "We hate Setanta" at the game....

Setanta in the UK aren't showing the Eredivisie highlights programme this season so I wrote to them to see why and they wrote back that they no longer have the rights, just to a few full games.
I miss the highlights programme - don't suppose anyone has a weblink to it?

Channel 5 have not shown any Dutch football so far but I emailed them last month and they confirmed they have the rights for this season but not sure when they are starting. They are showing alot of baseball at the moment plus USA soccer so hopefully they will start soon.
I was thinking of getting Setanta but if there is no highlights and only odd games of Ajax I wont bother. Mind you they are showing Vitesse and showed Roda and Fword . I will stick to streams on internet and hope I do not get any viruses.

Setanta are showing an hours highlights of FC Green v F-Word this weekend so I suppose I can be happy with that. Not Ajax for sure but their "few" games has been 3 live games (2 Ajax) and this extended highlights in the first four weeks of the season so I can't really grumble.
I hadn't noticed about Channel 5 though - their game is sometimes different to the Setanta one so that's still another way of watching Ajax games that I can actually see properly, with a screen bigger than a matchbox!

Setanta are also showing the Heerenveen game live on Sunday 5th October btw

That'll be four live games in five weeks, with three Ajax ones so I suppose I shouldn't grumble.

OK, cheers. I can't grumble too much as they are showing quite a few games but I really can't see the Dutch highlights would cost that much, especially as no-one else wants to show them here - it seems a bit of a backward step for the Eredivisie too - surely people watching and getting an interest is good for the league and all that....?

I'm hopeless when it comes to the SOPcast stuff... It rarely works for me, and the prospect of getting up at 4:30 am only to get frustrated fighting the sketchy technology... I just haven't done it.
But now I'm happy again, because I just "discovered" (for myself)
ESPN360, which not only shows games in high quality video, for free (because I get my internet service from AT&T), but they archive for 24/48 hours, so I was able to watch Saturday's game from Enschede on Sunday morning. Awesome. Now I see that they will have Thursday's cup game, and Ajax-PSV later this month! Yee-haw...
