Bloody hell, it looks as though Danny Blind will be dammed for anything now. Exactly how many years has Guus Hiddink been coaching as i think that you will find that this type of network is built up many years.

1.5 million is very cheap for a player with his suposed potential... so i might be inclined to sign him only to see what happens plus he really wants to play for ajax so that might add some motivation to the kid.
On the Striker subject i'm leaning towards youth(Klaas) other than experience (Kluivert) problem is that Az are also in the hunt for him ( we all know the Arveladze story by now :nooo: ) so i would buy both if i could, given the fact that Chari is in grave danger and Rosenberg not scoring, plus Yannis is getting older by the minute.
I see this very unlikely but i would like our three strikers to be Huntelaar,Rosenberg,Kluivert, let the three of them fight out the starting spot and pecking order.

(Edit) I see now that harry's condition is not so bad so i guess Kluivert is out of the question :yes: .

I read the match report on the Italy game and your comments on Vlaar but this guy is not in the Az team and according to the report I read Marco was advised by other coaches that Vlaar was not ready. The point I am making is that we should not right off this guy after his international debut.He is obviously one for the future and needs some first team footy.

Perhaps if we sign him we can loan him out in Jan to one of the lower clubs for the rest of the season to get experience !!.


I note that F-Word want Utrecht's Dutch U 21 right back Dwight Tiendalli.This lad was released from our youth team in summer 2004 and has been playing for Utrecht. We would appear to have got rid of him too quickly.As we need a new right back is he worth bringing back ??

Kluivert and Huntelaar; nice Christmas present :yes: . Hope we get 'em.

On the subject of Vlaar: Given that Ajax sign Vlaar, I would concur with SPL's view that we should loan him out. Given that he lacks experience i don't think he is the answer to our central defensive problem; i would prefer that Ajax sign a more experienced player or give Escude a fresh chance.

I'd go with that, whether we sign Vlaar or not. He was captain and player of the season and is now apparently not even good enough to get in the team.

I didn't see the Fnerd game but understand he had a nightmare...but this can happen to anyone and good players don't suddenly go bad overnight!

We don't want Kluivert. He's been a great Ajacied during his time and still is a good player, but he's had somewhat of an attitude problem since he left. As if the squad doesn't have enough stress, Patrick will simply add more to it with his "im a super star hoe" attitude

Nobody would dispute PK's attitude problem, however Ajax should take a chance on him. Kluivert is the player Ajax is lacking, namely a real Ajax number 9.

Patrick is a Pandora's Box very very unpredictable, i dont think we'll sign him if Huntelaar finally comes.But i really would not want to see him with AZ i mean Arveladze,Kluivert and Perez up front Yikes!!!!!! Talk about scary.

I have mixed feeling about signing Kluivert (although I doubt we will). On the one hand, he knows the system and he knows how to score. He's got that striker's attitude that we seem to be lacking. On the other hand, he's still likely to be a headcase like he was a few years ago. Nonetheless, given the alternatives, signing him might not be a bad idea if for some reason a deal for Huntelaar doesn't work out.

it would be great to have Kluivert back but I dont think we will. This reminds me of Davids at the beggining of the season. And about Vlaar, we cant judge him based on one horrible game, i'm sure he has a great potential and at Ajax he can become a really good defender. Anyway, lets just hope that we buy players that get used to the system quickly and that play well ;)

The news is Philippe that van Gaal may want Heitinga if Vlaar goes. It is not said that Ajax will let Heitinga go

I don't see Keane coming here, and quite frankly, I don't know if I'd want it to happen anyway.

As far as Vlaar for Heitinga, why not? We're not using Heitinga anyway, might as well send him somewhere where he can play.

I bet you can't give me an example of Roy Keane actually injuring an opposition player. (Alfie Haaland doesn't count because he didn't sustain any injuries)

Roy Keane would actually be a cracking signing for Ajax, he might knock some sense into the arrogant little pricks.

As for Kluivert, please God no. The fat waster has scored about three goals in the last seven years or something, and nowadays has the acceleration of a garden snail, and the turning circle of a super-tanker.

Seems unlikely, if the boys at Ladbrokes are to be believed.

If you can't appreciate what Galasek does for this team then frankly I don't know where you've been for the last four years.

Hamburg are now in the race for Huntelaar, as their strikers havent been on form regarding Barbarez.

SIGN THE KID NOW AJAX.

In the Arena, most of the home matches, where Galasek has been playing for the last five years. When it comes to defending, Galasek does the job, but being a midfielder for Ajax takes more than running backwards. With Galasek 4-3-3 usually turns into 5-2-3 which is one of the reasons why setting up an attack always takes forever.

I don't think Ajax can find a way to compensate for Galaseks lack of offensive skills and his tendency to slow the game down (the same applies to most of his team mates, but they're young so maybe they'll learn). He'd be better off playing defensive midfielder in a 3-5-2 setup, but except for Pizza5 nobody wants to see Ajax heading that way.

Ajax's attacking play has been grinding to a halt since before Galasek arrived at the club.

Since van Gaal departed we have had one season of 'Ajax football': season '97/98.

Galasek is a good player for Czech republic; at Ajax he is merely adequate.

i want to make a suggestion: can we please just toss a million at AZ and buy sektoui? please? we need his forcefulness on the wing, and i feel maybe rosales should play the left to be a "rensenbrink" type left winger who can cut in and fire (at least til mitea is back!)

I think it is not very good idea... Mauro Rosales has played few games as a right-winger and (in my opinion) wasn't so good. Does it make any sense if we'll do with Rosales exactly the same as with Babel? I mean: we shouldn't change their best positions.

I dont think the kid is dumb enough to sign with them yet, he still has potential to fulfill and he knows the smartest thing to do is to sign for a mayor club in Holland that can give him some more playing experience and some exposition to other big european clubs.
