Let's hope that the club is treating these friendlies with a grain of salt and that they come out strong next week in the CL tie.

Only saw the highlights of both games - - defense looked porous; offense looked stodgy -- I'm starting to worry already.

Another friendly defeat 1-0 to Konyaspor ofTurkey ,behind closed doors at de Toekomst.V Leer,Kristensen Schuurs,Wober Blind, Ekkelenkamp,Siem deJong ,Gravenberch Labyad, Sierhuis,Lang the starting line up.

This game just a practice game for those who did not start on Weds v Sturm.

Jong beat Koninklijke HFC 3-2 (they play in Div 2 ie. one league below Jong) Jensen 2 and Pasquali the goals.Sinkgraven played only 25 mins ,no word as to whether he came off injured.Cerny not yet played and Matusiwa has been injured since the first friendly a month ago.

Lost 3-0 to Wolfsburg in our last 1st team friendly ,at de Toekomst The 7 subs from Graz plus Siem de Jong, Lang ,Schuurs and Ekkelenkamp started.Bad news Blind has injured his back,no idea how bad.

Yuck! I guess this may mean that Frenkie plays more on the back line than he wants.

Why did they even schedule this friendly when they knew there were a lot of fixtures in August?

Just got my ticket to see Ajax play Sao Paolo (David Neres former club) in the Florida Cup this January!!!!! Last time I saw them play was here in DC in a post-season friendly after de Boer's first championship season. Looking forward to this even if it's just a friendly.

Orlando have a very nice football (soccer) only stadium. It's right downtown and within walking distance of the hotel I will be staying at (I wonder where the Ajax team will be staying; it would be cool if I could stop by). I'm only attending the Ajax - Sao Paolo match which is part of a double header with Eintracht Frankfurt - Flamenco in the second match.

Less than two weeks until Ajax travel over here for the Florida Cup. I'll be only going down for the second match against Sao Paolo which is part of a doubleheader with the second match between Fluminense and Eintracht Frankfurt. If there are any US or Dutchies who will be at the match send me a PM to see if we can get together. this should be a lot of fun.

We drew 2-2 with Flamengo KJH and Labyad the goals.We lost on penalties with Veltman and Magallan missing. Game started after midnight here but I dont really bother with friendles.

Reading comments on Ajaxshowtime and on our Dutch site seems Magallan didn't look special and most moaning about Lamprou whose mistakes led to the goals.Shame Kotarski is injured as he seems a good prospect for the future

It was mostly a second team lineup last night against Fluminense. It will be really fun if ten Hag gives the starters a run out tomorrow. I assume Neres will play for sure against his old side (assuming he's not on a plane to China). I read some of the same comments on yesterday's match and it appeared that Cerny had a decent match. If he can stay injury free he might be able to contribute on the wing.

Lamprou is not good enough. And not tall enough.

Magallan’s penalty would have been good for a field goal in American football!
