Jong are due to play Jong Fword tomorrow afternoon in Rotterdam. If it is played I hope we have a
proper young team out with Eriksen Bonevacia Jozefzoon and Sneijder getting a game. Surely Lindgren and Wielaert cannot be played again !!!

Well, Eriksen and co are already enjoying their holidays, so little chance that they'll make an appearance.

I did realise the youth finished last week . I doubt the game will take place if you have had a lot of snow
just giving my wishes for who should be playing.

According to newspaper De Telegraaf young Ajax coach Pieter Huistra has agreed a two-year contract with FC Groningen, starting in the summer. Huistra will be the successor of head-coach Ron Jans at Groningen. Confirmation on Ajax.nl expected soon...

Tom Overtoom who hs been on loan to Haarlem since the end of August and has made 12 appearances has returned to Ajax and will be in the Jong squad.

We still have too many in our Jong squad . About 18 with first teamers Lindgren Wielaert Zeegelaar and Martina still regular reserves and in addition 12 A1 players with contracts , who have not really been involved with reserve games to date.

Jong Ajax beat Argon(amateur team) today 7-0

Suk scored 3 on his first game for an Ajax team . Ozbiliz(first game of the season), Lazic Danilo Jongebloet all 1 each.

Some of these players will be off to Haarlem on Monday as Ajax will say then who is on loan . I think Ajax may be loaning up to 8 with 1or2 A1 youths going.

7 players have been mentioned today with a possible loan to Haarlem.(I will post this here as they are Jong Ajax)

Padt,Will, VdMeulen, Shakison, Overtoom, Martina, Danilo.

Will be interesting to see if they all go and if they do will they all get games.

I think we need to loan such players out but would be better to loan out to say 2or3 teams.

One point the Jong Ajax team will have 3 defenders left of which Kappelhof is the only fit one. Aslan who is injured again, and Supusepa who has been injured all season are the others. I would imagine we will see V Rhijn, Boilsen and Burnet all getting playing time.These 3 do not need any more youth football.

Nothing on OS but reports state V d Meulen Will Shakison and Martina have gone on loan with the other 3 still to decide.

Seems a bit of a shambles as the 4 mentioned were due to train with Haarlem on Monday but they have not yet officially been loaned out . Will, the full back is now attracting Spartas attention.

I would expect Jongebloet and Lazic to leave this month also on loan .Both have contracts to June , wont get extensions and wont get much playing time here if they stay.

Our current Jong team really does need a good clearout and the vast majority of the still listed wont be here next season.

Just looked the Haarlem site and notice they played a friendly on tues v Volendam and Will V d Meulen and Martina played . Padt yesterday confirmed he was going on loan. Nothing official from Ajax so who lnows what is going on.

Well Ajax Jong play next week so I quess we should know by then who has gone .(Well Oleguer Ogarau
Wielaert Gabri Kennedy and Verhoven will probably being playing so may have to look at who is on the subs bench!!!!!!!!!!! )

2-0 win v Sparta with de Jong scoring both . Ozbiliz for Rommendahl and Lazic for Zeegelaar both 78 mins were the subs .

Jong play Groningen tonight away.

I do expect Vermeer Gabri and Oleguer to play and maybe Sulejmani to have a run out but maybe some of the Jong may get a game.

On the loaning front Will has said no to Haarlem, even though he has been there for a week and played a couple of friendlies. This guy has played fairly regularly for the Jong last season and this and I would have thought he would get a loan to a better team .Sparta fancy him but we will see. Danilo said no thanks to Haarlem and like Will has been a fairly regular Jong player since the start of last season and again I think should do a bit better than Haarlem.

No decision on the other 2 Overtoom and Shakison.

Good news I wont be moaning about the lack of proper Jong players, only 2 real first teamers starting !!

Another reserve not interested in Haarlem, Tommie Overtoom. He was loaned out for the season made 12 appearances for their first team but has decided to return to Jong Ajax , where he will struggle to get games. He and Shakison , who has yet to decide on the loan , were the only Jong players not involved in last nights match.

With 9 Jong starting ,(including Zeegelaar,) Ozbiliz , Jongebloet and Burnet(A1 left back) were the subs used and Bizot plus Supusepa( been out all season ) were unused. Suk has been training with the first team .

With several spare 1st teamers , 16 Jong team ,all currently fit , plus senior A1 youths like Jozefzoon Ebecilio Burnet Sneijder all needing to be played I think it is going to be hard to keep everyone happy
when Jong Ajax play.

Jong Ajax lost 2-1 to NEC tonight in the Jong cup . Castillion scored our goal but no team list has yet been shown .

Of course from now on, with just 12 league games left, Jong Ajax have 20 players in their squad now that 5 have returned from Haarlem . With 27 first teamers plus 12 contracted players in the A1 youth team I think they are going to have to arrange friendlies every week just to keep everyone happy.

Exactly. Always keep in mind: the Young Ajax team (and the youth teams) are not primarily about winning, and winning titles. It's about improving players. About preparing them for the jump to 'the other side' (= the ArenA), as we call it. In the past, coaches of Ajax-2 (as the second team was then called) would sometimes play the right fullback on the left, forcing him to pass and tackle with his 'weak' left foot. Or they would play a lazy striker in the heart of defense, in order to teach him that he's supposed to battle it out with his direct opponent.

Not necessarily good for the result on the day (sometimes the player would have a terrible day because of that), but tough lessons are sometimes necessary. It's about making them better football players. Young Ajax is about the individuals, not about the team, which makes it a fundamentally different football team than Ajax-1.

Well put as usual. Hope for the rest of the season we will play real Jong players and not first team spares .
