Seen the new home shirt?
Never like round necks, so will be skipping this year's home shirt.
Probably will still buy the away one.

^agree with Ofey on the shirt. I wish the club could leave Adidas but the money is probably too good. This year's shirt is clearly better. i probably will buy one since it will support the club (I order directly from the club store website). :ajaxsmiley.gif:

Sorry but which of my bit did you agree with?
I dislike round necks but you're still buying one... .

I hope we NEVER leave Adidas though.
Looking at some of the Nike designs including Man United's and England, I dread the day we have to have a company with NO design ideas.
And Nike is ensuring Umbro is dying a slow death so hopefully we don't return there.

Terrible! Looks less and less like Ajax. They probably got these as left-overs from Arsenal or AZ. I'll take the shirt from the early 70-s or earlier anytime.

The one with nothing but the red stripe (as seen on Cruijff above) is awesome.

Personally, I'm not that bothered about the shoulder stripes. I just love our uniform and agree with those who say it should be our first choice kit home and away.

I really like the new shirt, but as others have said, it would be absolutely lovely if they got rid of the stripes and narrowed the red a bit..

Finally able to get AT on my browser again. Hallelujah !!! Anyway , will purchase both shirts this year . Not my faves, love the simple elegance of the Cruijff strip and the 94 - 95 model, but I'm due for a new strip.

I'll advise you to order on http://www.thesoccershirtstore.com

Why pay more if they will all be produced in Thailand?

Again my lack of Dutch seems to handicap me in understanding my fellow Ajacieds.

Can someone explain why so many Ajax fans have a problem with Adidas's 3 stripes on our shirts?
:confused.gif:

If any company sponsors the sports wear of a club, surely they have must have their logos.

Personally, I'd take the 3 stripes and the nice designs Adidas comes up with than the ugly designs Nike and Puma have in exchange for their minimalistic and less invasive logos.

You don't have to understand Dutch to see that the three stripes on the sleeves look funny and that Adidas do this for most if not all of the club and NT shirts that they manufacture. It's like they are rubbing it in your face and they already have their logo on the upper left front of the shirt just like most other manufacturers. The stripes on the sleeve are just irritating to me (think about what a Nike shirt with swooshes all over the sleeve would look like!). If I recall they only started doing this about three years ago.

I'm only reading this now so sorry for this late complement, as I'm a fierce anti-3-stripes crusader: :ajaxsmiley.gif:
The first Adidas shirt (2000-2001) was with the 3 ugly stripes, and then the stripes were only "worn" in European Cup games. That was fine with me, especially because Ajax European campaigns ain't that long.... :hypocrite.gif:
But I think it all changed from the 2009/2010 season. I've never bought an (home) shirt since. I also can't stand shirts with a discontinued red stripe (e.g. 2010/2011), and we had a few with Adidas...

Anyone else think if we took the villa home shirt for this season, and swapped it for our sponsors etc, and obviously our colours... It would be near perfect?

No, the middle red should be smaller, this seems to get slightly bigger by the season, untill we look exactly like Arsenal I guess
