Well Castillion and Claasen are proper Jong players.
I believe the Jong team play Hollandia this week and Hoofdoorp next week so that the actual members of the Jong squad get a match.

I know I shouldn't keep on but look at the above they are nearly all first team spares .I know they need games but where does this leave the real youngsters playing local amatuer teams !!!!

I understand your concerns but at end of day the Eredivisie title is and must be priority for the club. One of problems we had had in previous seasons has been a long injury list and too many players coming in to 1st team squad and quite obviously having had no match experience of late and it showed on the pitch. Luckily this season our injury list has been minimal and so there are a large numbers of first team squad members dong nothing. Beter to keep them match fit for if and when required.

Not perfect solution I know but as I say the Eredivisie is priority.

I have no dispute that winning the eredivisie is the most important thing and keeping squad players fit is vital .Apart from Gabri we have been lucky with injuries this season so with a squad of 30 first teamers the Jong team is going to have alot of these 1st teamers.

I am just concerned as we have about 17 reserves that alot of them are not getting much playing time in the reserves and are not developing, in addition 11 members of our A1 youth team have contracts and some of these should be getting games for the Jong team.
I just hope that Ajax succeed in January where they did not in August ie reduce the squad to about 24
and also they need to review some of the reserves .Giving contracts to 18/19 year olds is great but not if they are never going to get much playing time .

Just to emphasise the problem Jong Ajax played Hollandia Hoorn tonight , won 2-1 Lazic scored both.

Shakison a left back was making his first appearance of the season after injury ,Schouw is an A1 teamer
with a contract . Wildschut plays for the A2.

These reserves will be playing Hoofddorp next tuesday as the official Jong team play Monday.I would imagine Ajax are arranging more friendlies v local amateur teams.

Our reserves are playing Willem at present , not long started, the team with one exception are first teamers

Lucky Castillion. I have to admit that this is the team I expected although I thought Cvitanich may get a game instead of Castillion.

As I put last week the real Jong Ajax play Hoofddorp in a friendly tomorrow.

I can translate a bit of Dutch, and there is a saying a little knowledge is dangerous , and I see on Ajaxshowtime last week an article headed Wielaert or Bonevacia which I think was about my favourite weekly moan.( I look at Showtime as their coverage of our youths is far better than the official site )

And Lindgren has scored after 25 mins.

Final score 3-1 to Ajax Lindgren scored 2 and Castillion the other. Atouba is reported to have gone off injured but the subs used not yet shown.

So 2 games in 2 nights and Holland's U21 goalie Padt doesn't get a game !!

I wont apologise for my comments as this is getting a joke. Giving 1st team players a game to get fit is vital but look at last nights team Verhoeven Ogararu Lindgren Sarpong Martina and Blind have not made 1 appearance in the first team this season and indeed apart from Verhoeven being a non playing sub v Agovv none of them have even got on the subs bench. Wielaert and Atouba both dumped from the 1st team although Atouba has injured a knee in last nights game and may be out for a while.Of those 7 imo only Blind has a future here but only after he has gone out on loan to play 1st team footy.

Ajax have to sort this farce out as young reserves should be playing pro reserve teams and not amateur
friendlies.

I am not sure of any details but evidently Aissati refused to come off the field to be subbed!! I am sure one of my Dutch friends will fill in the details . If any player did this for a team I ran they would be out the door but the guy has promise , trouble is he so lightweight and injury prone.

Official site shows Aissati was subbed on 76 mins by Martina so this must have been a misunderstanding.

Well apart from Verhoeven and Cvitanich thats the nearest to a proper Jong Ajax side we have seen for sometime. Several players are on Int duty ie Bizot and Padt the goalies plus Bonevacia and Castillion are on Int duty with Dutch u19 and U21 and Classen with SA
