Brondby and coach Michael Laudrup failed to negotiate an extension of his contract with the club yesterday meaning Laudrup will be unemployed as of June 1st. Most people think he will take a year of from coaching al though he has been connected to Real Madrid through one of the presidential candidates down there and another Spanish club.

Also happy we land Henk ten Cate. As for Michael Laudrup, I pray he is smart enough not to sign on with that menagerie. Signing with them is like checking yourself into an Insane asylum...albeit a talented one.

Just read on NOS Teletekst that Anderlecht bought our good friend Jelle Van Damme from Southampton. The left-footed defender did not see much action in England and will return to his fatherland. Great move for him, I must say. Anderlecht is a pretty cool club. They paid 750,000 euros for Van Damme.

I read on Ajax Netwerk and several other sites that Sonny Silooy is to be a new assistant to Frank Rijkaard. If true,I'm glad for Sonny.Always loved him as a player.Very classy on the pitch.

A good mate of mine is a Spurs fan and he actually told me that Mido did quite well in the second half of the season. He scored quite regularly. My mate seemed to have no complaints about Mido (he thought Edgar Davids was absolute crap, by the way...).

I guess it's a case of football math rearing its ugly head again. As in, 14 goals(Mido) doesn't equal blankety-blank millions(whatever Berbabtov cost). Too bad for Mido .He finally looked at least semi-settled while playing for Spurs.

Funny detail... The day after young Van der Vaart was born there were reports in the Dutch press that 'Damian' is German slang for 'village idiot'. :D

Hehe there are always funny situations with translation etc. I remember that one commentator has almost lost his job, because he pronounced correctly the name of dutch goalkeeper Ed de Goey. [GOEY] means "di*k" in polish... After that commentator changed pronouce of his name and says "de gay" :D . I don't know what's better ;) .

Just a small line I saw from skysports.com at the end of a story about Kew Jaliens possible move to Bayer Leverkusen.

A goalkeeper is also thought to be on AZ's wish list, with former Ajax man Joe Didulica a reported target.

Thought he was pretty good when he was at Ajax. Would be a decent purchase by AZ.

He was crap at Ajax, and AZ won't buy him because he's too expensive. It's old news ;)

19 year old Evander Sno is going to Celtic from Fword. This lad left our youthset up last summer to join Fword and I believe was on their bench before being loaned out to NAC at January break and he played games for them.

He seems a good talent but is already on his 4th club at 19!!!! How come we let this lad go ??

he left because he didn't get a contract yet. And he's not even good enough for Feyenoord, so Ajax was right to let him go.

According to VI Frank de Boer will have some kind of a trial in Ajax. Henk ten Cate will show him how to become a good coach. After that de Boer will probably be coach in de Toekomst and later - maybe - one of our first team coaches.

And some fresh news about our old friend - Jesper Gronkjaer won't join Ajax. He's just signed a contract with FC Copenhagen. The value of the transfer is something about 2 mln euro.

Bad news for me... He used to be my favourite Ajacied.

I read about Frank de Boer also. Something about him on trial at Ajax D1 level to start.

You're almost right, Frank de Boer will train the D1, and will be on trial at Ajax 1
