Just saw the highlights on ajax.nl. How did this game end 0-1. Should've been a 3-0 or a 4-0.

Well they've already played a few games in their league. By the time the next leg comes along, we would've played two more games. I'm just praying & hoping that our strikers remember how to score goals.

Now this is a realistic post.

Yesterday was not good, don't get me wrong, but we should have been 3-0 up by the time they scored. The chances were there. And they were not solid at the back.

I still have the feeling that we'll do it in Prague.

When did we last eliminate a worthy opponent in Europe ? Not last season, not the one before, not even three years ago, but four years ago ! You know what : we are the joke of Europe now. We used to be feared, but now other clubs hope they will be in the same group as Ajax.
That's the sad situation we are in.
And the worst, and IMO the cause of this, is that we celebrate when we well our best player just days before the most important game of the season, with no worthy replacement in sight.
Because we have lost ambition. The club is run by people who think financial profit is the key. So they sell our best players as soon as they can, no matter the consequences on the field. We used to sell players in their early 20's after they helped us to win trophies. Babel is 19 years old and far gone.
So we are making profit, but we are number 2 in Holland and nowhere in Europe. Our shareholders are pleased : nice ROE, nice dividends.

Who is responsible for this ? The greenhouse effect ? The real estate crisis in the US ? Or the Ajax management ?

I have a feeling that we'll do it in Prague as well but yesterday was very very poor. This board sort of colonised the upstairs bar at De Hems last with Ayman, myself and Pizza 5 putting in an appearence but it still couldn't lift the gloom.

I don't know about 2 points too many to Urby on Zouf's list - personally I think Heitinga and Huntelaar got 5 points too many each!

Anyway - two weeks time here we go again, why can't it ever be easy?

Didn't (couldn't) see the game, but c'mon guys its only the first leg. Lets not panic yet. 0-1 is not the end of the world. All we need is 1 within 90min and at worst it goes to ET.

Lets not forget we haven't really played a competitve game up to this point, we lost probably our best player days before the game and have injuries to boot.

Its not over until its over. It sounds like we are writing off the season based on 1 competive game. We still have new players to come in as well.

Lets not start screaming for bloody just yet...

Lol watching these highlights makes me laugh. And it's a pathetic laugh. It's practically impossible to miss those kind of chances...
