Nope. No teams from the same country in one group. From the third round on the draw will be 100% open.

Whatever it is, I hope we get at least one premiership side in our group, then at least we'll get a live broadcast on Ch5 here in the UK. Tottenham would be perfect then maybe we could get tickets locally here in London. I'll borrow a Spurs jersey to wear over my Ajax one :headbang:
I personally think the hardest games might be against Turkish opposition - Fernebache and Besiktas? :nooo:

If we get Spurs, I hope it'll be an away game. A trip to White Hart Lane doesn't sound bad to me.
But getting Spurs from pot 5 wouldn't exactly make it an easy group...

They haven't exactly been in scintillating form this year. Missing Carrick I think.

If the UEFA leaves the 'standard' fixture schedule intact, this will be Ajax's fixture list:
19 Oct: Zulte Waregem - Ajax
02 Nov: no fixture
23 Nov: Ajax - Sparta Prague
29/30 Nov: Espanyol - Ajax
13/14 Dec: Ajax - Austria Vienna
I like this draw: no complaints about Zulte Waregem (could have been Nancy or Spurs from pot 5) and it's only a short drive to Flanders. The drive to Roda may well be longer.
The home games against Sparta Prague and Austria Vienna must be won, plain simple. We're Ajax and we're supposed to beat opponents of that caliber at the ArenA. Simple as that.
Espanyol away will be a very tough one, but HTC played several Barcelona derby's against them in recent seasons, so he will know what to expect. Also: nice trip in late November! Very nice.

No Barcelona, mate. They've switched some fixtures around.
Het speelschema van Ajax ziet er als volgt uit:
19 oktober Ajax vrij
2 november Ajax-Austria Wien
23 november Sparta Praag-Ajax
30 november Ajax-Espanyol
13 december Zulte Waregem-Ajax

There`s a big chance Huntelaar wont miss none of these then  . Thats great :xyxthumbs:
PD: I think these is a very easy group for
THIS Ajax. Besides three teams advance so even if we play shity we should make it through.

It's great that we have matchday 1 off. Because of Huntelaar, but also because matchday is three days before Feyenoord vs Ajax. We don't have a game on the 19th, whereas Feyenoord have to travel to FC Basel. Which is a good thing.

If Steef's schedule is correct, then Ajax has it pretty good. Espanyol at home is great, leaving Sparta Prague as the tough away fixture.
There's more luck involved since they're not playing each team home-and-away, but they can do it.

Okay nice group (I hope). Tecnically we are the strongest team and should be the favorites to win it. Winning this Uefa Cup could really mean the "reinassance" of Ajax, but still it will be tough.
